I was hoping Morton would come in, I fear we have too many inexperienced players and will get exploited on the big ground
Im pretty happy with them 2 think there pace will be handy on the bigger ground. I watched Morton on the weekend didn't see much of the ball and looked injured

Don't think NicNat will be playing hes been struggling with injury all year and didn't have a preseason
Shuey, Kerr and Wellingham will most likely come in.
I reckon it'll be very close as Eagles need to win to retain touch with the 8, while Swans need to win to solidify their position in the Top 4.
For the sakes of my hopes as an Eagles supporter that the Eagles make the 8 still, I'm tipping Eagles by 5 in a thriller.

Nic Nat will play. Kerr? The squads of 25 have already been named.

If we win the midfield battle then i think we'll win, although part of that will come down to limiting what Cox/NN can manage in the ruck. We'll have to try and minimise their output, which we did to great effect last time. I'd hate to see JJK/Darling get too many opportunities up forward. (Well, JJK can do well for my SC team. :D)

Haha I was just having a dig about "osteitis pubis in the groin", because that's the only place you can get it. ;)

Woosha says it's just his back that is troubling him at the moment and it needs to be managed throughout the season. I definitely expect him to play after reading the article below but I think he'll be rested either next week (Bulldogs) or the week after (Gold Coast).

So he had groin problems but now it's come good and he has a stiff back.

Hopefully it will go down before he has to pull on his shorts.

I just posted this in the eagles preview thread, thought I'd copy/paste it here. Best of luck for the weekend, hopefully no injuries for either team :thumbsu:

Ins and outs for both times for the corresponding fixture last year.

West Coast
Out: S. Selwood, Hurn, Butler, Swift, Sheppard, Newman, McGinnity, Stevens

In: Kennedy, Hill, LeCras, Wellingham, Carter, Cripps, Smith, Hutchings

This assumes A. Selwood, Wilson and Morton to be cut from extended bench.

We've lost two quality players, three below average players and three crap players. We've gained four quality players and four below average players. By below average I mean 15-22 in the team.

Sydney
Out: Goodes, Jetta, Reid, Mattner, McGlynn, Johnson, Shaw, Roberts-Thompson

In: Tippett, Parker, Mitchell, B. Jack, White, Rampe, Lamb, Morton

This assumes that X. Richards, Cunningham and Towers to be cut from the extended bench (I'm just guessing obviously).

Everyone that Sydney have lost are likely best 22 (except the retired Mattner). Of those who've come in, Tippett, Parker and maybe Mitchell/Rampe are best 22 IMO.

Interestingly, there are around 8 for each team. The changes from last year are hugely in West Coast's advantage.

I think if both teams were at full strength, we'd lose by about 10 goals. We may have Hurn, Kerr, Waters and S. Selwood out, but the Swans injuries are worse. I think we'll battle hard and lose by around 6 goals.

Hope its BJ

Doubt it, despite his open goal miss and being caught with the ball a few times, his major asset at the moment is his chasing and sticking the tackles. He will start.

Doubt it also just BJ is gonna have a fair bit more pressure on him this week

Pressure from within the team or from the Eagles?
