T17 announce team name

After months of deliberations, the board have come to a decision on the name and location of T17.

From next season T17 will be referred to as the Wagga Wagga Warthogs, which will be based in NSW.

It is hoped Wagga Wagga will capture the hearts of rural NSW, an untapped market that can be exploited.

Over the next 12 months, Wagga Wagga will recruit the best players which will give the club immediate success.

The club has also announced its home and away jumpers.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

I like the jumpers, though it's a little weird how they have nothing in common (other than the logo).

Well due to mediocre results, the Sydney Broncos have yet to gain a strangle-hold of the greater NSW market, therefore will be keeping a close eye on memberships and crowd numbers for this second NSW side, and may well be fielding offers from other cities come seasons end 2010 if support for WW creates financial issues for us
