T20 Captaincy decisions

Does the Captain have complete control over ingame decisions, or does Cricket Australia tell White what to do?

I only ask, because batting Hussey at 3, and bowling Lee for four overs, including at the death, even picking Lee, seemed like decisions made by cricket Australia in order to audition these players for the World Cup.

Unless it was a directive from CA (and given the fact they seemed to be using this largely as a practise match for the World Cup, it wouldn't surprise me) I imagine Hussey would have been sent in at no.3 because White knows Huss is one of the best at playing spin in the world and spin was on at both ends at the time.
Unfortunately Hussey played conservatively, as so many keep reminding us over and over and over again. Generally it would have been a good call, but on this particualr night it wasn't. Which is why you need to use your gut when making your choices, not just past experience.

How crap england must be to only win on the last ball against what is obviously an experimental T20 side by australia, and minus our superstar clarke...wait...what?

why have men on the boundary? because it was tail enders and they are as likely to go the tonk on the last ball as play a single.

why didn't we win? we got pinned down in the middle overs and our pacemen leaked hard, but then so did theirs.

White is an exceptional player, but he got taken out early. I love the huss and have argued long and hard for his inclusion in the test side,, but he is best in the long game, he is adequate in the short game, why he was selected for T20 despite having a solid to good shield season and an ordinary season in the short form is completely baffling.

I'm surprised he's considered in the top5 bats in T20. Im surprised the selectors have hughes in the test side and not the T20 side, the guy is an eye player and can't help himself playing aggressive shots.... HELLO.

got no doubt that Cricket Australia wanted 4 overs each for Lee and tait as they need hardened match practice for the world cup.

As for Hussey batting 3rd, that would have been white's call. Not white's fault that hussey struggled.
