Good night at the sandown dogs, a few boys ended up at the casino, not sure if they made it to Revs after that.

Backed a few winners but lost on Bub Jose dog Mantra Lad in a big race in brisbane, got done about a head in the end.

One of my mates just had a multi that looks like paying-

Collingwood Under 39.5:thumbsu:
Geelong Under 39.5:thumbsu:
Brazil to kick 3 Goals v Italy:thumbsu:
More than 1.5 Ducks in 20/20 final????

Outlet $5

Paying $101.33

Collect $506.65

Good value and should be a good collect....

Just placed a $200 bet on Denis Menchov to win the Tour de France @ $11.

Ridiculous odds, hopefully he can deliver for me. Also put another $100 on him to finish top 3 so that if he finishes 2nd or 3rd I end up even.

Had a go on a double up for the ashes-

Katich most runs series, Siddle most wickets series outlayed $5 to collect $280

This represents good value- Ponting Highest Innings for the test (near certainty now i believe) and Flintoff most wickets in the match outlayed $5 collect of $440...I think freddie can really get into the aussies, not sure if this wicket will suit or nor do i rate anderson and swann bowls little skidders. Hoping Flintoff can hit the seam and intimidate a few to claim the most wickets.

Waste of money now that bet. Menchov is stuffed, so is evans and sastre. Contador, Andy Schlek an Amstrong on the podium i reckon from here.

Yeah he is stuffed. Had a horrid ITT. Usually he would be within twenty seconds of Contador in that. Then he crashed in the TTT because one of his riders took the wrong line, probably cost him 30 seconds. Then yesterday his main man Robert Gesink crashed and broke his wrist. Pretty much everything that could go wrong has. Probably should have expected it I guess after having won the Giro he may have been a little tired. Not giving up on a podium yet though.

Contador should win. Would be surprised to see Lance on the podium. As much I would love him to, I doubt he will have improved enough in the mountains since the Giro. He will just look to take the yellow in the Pyrenees. However I think Cancellara may surprise. He has improved a lot in the mountains although his main job will be to look after Andy.

Sastre is not stuffed. He would be very happy with where he is sitting at the moment. His team did an exceptional job in the TTT and he is definitely still in contention. We will see that come the mountain stages.

Man I love the tour. My favourite three weeks of the year. Haven't missed a minute yet. Am glad I am on holidays. Have been waking up around 11.30.

Sastre has to make up almost 3 minutes on the leaders and there is another time trial to go where he is almost certain to lose some ground to the other top riders. He doesnt have the team this year to help him in the mountains. May still get a top 5 or podium if he does real well but thats it. Contador is a star, he was awesome 2 years ago and should have improved since then, good team seems hard to beat.

They dont show all the form in the Giro, some hold a bit back for this race.

Yeah like I said Contador should win but I think A.Schleck and C.Sastre would be satisfied with the positions they are in. They are the three strongest men in the mountains so that is my podium. Also happy with my team (liquigas). Kruziger and Nibali both genuine contenders for top 10, maybe even top 5 if things go well.

To the guy that said you have to have a flutter on Evans. I am sure the TAB will be thankful for your donation.

Bradley Wiggins what a hero. Wins gold in the 1km on the track at the olympics and is now sitting third in the TdF.

Thought it was a different person just by looking at him, completely different body shape.

Can't see anyone getting around Contador. Even if he falls, i'd be backing Kloden over Armstrong.

The way Armstrong jumped across to the Schleck/Contador group last night was freakish. Kloden must have told them the pace had dropped off. That's the value of having so many guys near the front.

Evans TdF window is closed, even if he changed to a stronger team, it would be unlikely that he'd be the no.1 rider. He should focus on stage victories for the next few years.

Will still be a great night to watch tonight. Saxobank will be going hell for leather over the first few climbs. Cancellara will lead the peloton up the first two hills at breakneck speed, smashing all the weaker riders and the last 2 climbs will be amazing.

Bigpapa, if you want to see what it's like, just watch the first hour tonight to get an idea, one of the sporting highlights of the year.

Although I do have access to tickets to the netball Grand Final Sunday. Two best looking teams.

Tonight is going to awesome. I am going to sit myself in front of the plasma with a choc top and a bucket of popcorn and am not going to leave the couch all night.

Agree Contador is just too good. It won't stop the Schleck brothers and Saxobank from trying though. I imagine that they will set a ridiculous pace up the first few climbs to try and isolate Contador. Will be awesome if it happens.

I agree, great viewing. I was never interested in it a few years ago, watched a couple of stages and got hooked. Hard to go to bed once the race starts.

Sastres team or Saxo have to split up the Astana train if they have any chance of beating them. If they can take a few out on the first couple of climbs they might have a chance of doing some damage at the end. Hard to see that happening but its the only chance.

SCHLECK BROS!

Last night was EPIC viewing. Schleck bros. were amazing! I just hope they have something left for the ITT. When Contador attacked with 1.7km and Frank and Andy closed the gap after working all the way up the mountain while Kloden who had sat third wheel all the way couldn't move, truly a great sporting moment. It is awesome how much love they have for each other and how they can give so much more because of it. Andy's reaction at the finish was priceless pumping both arms in the air in joy for his brother being awarded with the stage victory.

Armstrong was huge huge last night too. Played the ultimate team role marking the moves of Wiggins and prior to the F.Schleck. Then when he closed the gap to Kloden he showed the champ that he is. Special mention to Vande Velde also. He obviously isn't in peak fitness right now but worked so hard for Wiggins. Seemed to keep giving more when he had nothing left.

In summary though:
