Our tackle count seems to be on the decline. This is not the only problem with the team but defiantly a contributing factor.
Check out our last 5 games compared with earlier in the season against Geel and WC.

Collingwoods tackles named first ... ESS 45/50. NTH 44/46. ADEL 64/57. SYD 51/50. WB 59/37. GEEL 85/49. WC 61/54.

WB being the odd one out where we were struck down with very significant injuries.
Tackling against the Cats was a vital ingredient in that win, causing pressure and perceived pressure.

You thoughts.....

Bring in ryan lonie that'll surely help.

No im sorry thats mean we'll give him this chance.

Its seems to em we have looked a little slow, somewhat lethargic the past fortnight, dont know why we just seem slower and less interested.

Hopefully its juts a mindset and its a quick fix

Sorry but a tackle count isnt a good stat for me.

Tackles means you are 2nd to the ball and chasing ass - HB gets are more indicative of how 'hard' the team is on any given night. Not that I'm saying tackles are useless, but they should not be the measure of the team

Totally agree. Every year there is a new stat to show why teams win/lose games of football, and this year its tackles.

and they are an extremely important factor in our game. As Buckley pointed out a few weeks ago we rely on midfield turnovers, largely from tackling pressure, for most of our forward thrusts.

If we arn't tackling at around 60 a game then we arn't working hard enough within our game plan.

Good call! :thumbsu: Might remind people to do their bloody votes
just went through every page.

It is sadly neglected, also didaka has had alot of health problems just since the start of the season the poor bloke

Its more that 20 people at the start of the season signed up to give votes. I can understand people missing games here and there due to various reasons. But we've had some weeks where only 4 or 5 people have posted votes
