Was gonna put this thread up on Monday night.

Saw an advanced screening Monday, it was very good.

Went into the film not really knowing what I was gonna get, but got a great action flick of the likes which I haven't seen for a long time.

Very good movie and highly recommended.

Probably the only downers is the relatively inconsistent accent of Neeson and the shocking acting from Holly Valance.

Good to hear. I love these smart action films where the hero is just a regular looking guy but a complete bad arse.
I can see the line "I have a particular set of skills" being a new favourite quote!
 
Liam Neeson is bad ass.
 
While I enjoyed it, it seemed that the makers of the film were not sure whether they wanted it to be a possible true scenario or a "suspend your disbelief" action thriller and I found this offputting. How awesome is that line, "They're going to take you."? Sends shivers down my spine.

I love how the director built it up slow..... makes the scenes with the kidnapped girls so much more powerful :O

like the bourne movies but without the shaky cam :3
 
Saw it last night, absolutely superb.

Neeson is great in it, its like what Bourne would be if he was a 40+ father. Still someone you dont **** with.

Anyone else think that the daughter ran like a ****? I was laughing quite loudly whenever she broke into her "gait".

was there a scene where she ran away from the captor, and then she suddenly tripped over a twig on the ground?

if you're a nip/tuck fan .....you'll know why I can never look at famke janssen the right way again despite the hotness ;)

no wonder its a good flick, its by the same people who did Banlieue 13....another great action movie
 
I really enjoyed this one.

There was a little cheer in the audience when the first one met his well deserved death. :thumbsu::)

Loved it. Action packed with a good plot and plausible scenarios.. It's like the older-Bourne called into action.

GO LIAM NEESON!!!
 
Finally saw it tonight!

Absolutly brilliant movie. Some great one liners and after a slowish start its absolutly action packed.

Highly recommended! :thumbsu:

"I have a very special set of skills I have aquired" - I can see that line becoming a hit amongst boys.

I also liked the "My Albanian friend left this note. Can you please translate it for me?! GOOD LUCK!" :D
 
Watched this last night on a pretty poor quality disc that had some foreign subtitles on the screen the whole way through but it would still be the best movie i have seen this year (better than Batman). I loved it when he asked them to translate the note. "You dont remember me do you". Brilliant.
 
I can't believe this movie is still going strong. It's showing 3-4 sessions a day at most cinemas and it's been out for over a month. I really thought it'd be gone after 2 weeks. Everyone I know who's seen this movie absolutely loved it so keep spreading the word.
