Thanks for the link. After looking at the list there are a number of unrestricted players I would like to have at Freo on equal pegging to Goddard.

Just a few names, I think these players would be vey loyal to their clubs and would need a fair bit of money to convince them. These to players wouldn't solve our forward line problem but would provide heaps of drive into the forward line. I'm sure would be worth considering if we didn't land Cloke or Goddard.

I believe Mitchell has 3 kids under 3 including twins under 1. I know football is his career but I think you would literally need to irradiate Melbourne to get his wife out of the city and away from their support network of family and friends. Plus he's old like Lenny.

But seriously, not many other forwards worth pursuing. Kosi may still have a bit to offer, but cant see him leaving, and any of us being happy to have him.

i agree, we have no chance of getting mitchell, the family thing would be the major factor in this, but on top of that, the guy was a mature aged rookie, given his shot by the team he supported his whole life, and who he captained to a premiership.... all indicating it wont happen.... when i listed the players i would be interested in, i didnt really take in to consideration of likelyhood... just who i would like

lower is tougher than foley, but foley has speed, skills and the ability to hit the scoreboard, different tyoes of midfielder... id have foley ahead of lower when he is fit

young is an excellent disposer of the ball, he suits todays football in this age of keeping possession. he would get a game ahead of a few who played on the weekend... certainly neale (who will be good), roberton and possibly deboer and ibbotson.

It would be interesting to see if we could snag Jamar, him and Sandilands would be unstoppable I reckon along with Clarke roaming around.

In the event, we can't land Cloke or Goddard, it would be interesting if we decided to try and grab two lesser players (Jamar and Moloney). Don't rate Moloney much because of attitude, but I reckon he'd shape up under Lyon.
