I have almost willed myself not to see it over the past 3 seasons, have told myself to give him time, he has confiedence issues, injury issues ENOUGH! today confirmed it once and for all, shut the gates game over

Tambling is simply no good.

Hes the not quite there player, seems to consistantly miss the chance to burst out of a tackle by half a second, fumbles the ball at a critical moment in a pack where a clean take away would enable him to win the clearance, fumbles the ball while holding it, (FFS who fumbles a ball when they have it in their possession in BOTH HANDS???) laughable. He has been doing this his whole career, I've felt for the lad riding every "almost clearance", every "almost burst through the pack" fact is some players have it some don't.... Just doesnt have clean hands, has no ability to shrug a tackle, never seen him break a tackle tbh. Great bloke no doubt, but has fizzled, hes a dud, I've written him off.

Improving in his intensity and he's getting there. It will take a good 2 more years and then we'll see. Sometime in the 2's is needed though, not good enough ATM! Espesially since we have players performing well in the 2's.

Tambling will be a gun. How can you say that a 20 year old is the 'not quite there player', of course he isn't, he's 20 years old! And saying he's been fumbling 'his whole career'. For ****s sake, hes played like, what, 50 games? Just wait.

He should be put back in the reserves and not come back into the seniors until he has had at least 2 best on ground performances.

ALSO...

He should have Buddy Franklin's stats taped to his locker each Monday.

WTF, he improved drastically from Round 1 and is getting better each week. He was good today and certainly not our worst.

Joke of a thread and joke of a poster.

Maybe true but we have lost for last 28 years so some people have some right to get angry sometimes, but not really warranted after todays performance. We weren't that bad hey, Kangers aren't a bad team and there were some good things to come out of it.

But I'd rather sit next to tiger fans than anyone from any other footy club! Most passionate and dedicate supporters there are!

what game were you watching? he was atrocious in the first half, absolutly horrible. Second half started ok, but went downhill very very quickly, was woeful with his ball handling, had nfi today was very very bad. :thumbsd:

You have no idea, obviously. Even Healy and co. thought he was good and there opinion is more valued than yours.

Tambling was good.

So many players have passed him and I cant see him becoming much better than he is now. A blind man can see tambling is nothing special, he will just be a mediocre player at best. Just because he was outstanding junior dont mean he will be good a senior level. I think its time to move on after showing little in 3 years.

rubbish!

he was horrible today, dont care what healy and co thought, he was ineffective in the first half and apart from a decent patch in the second half he was pretty crap, ball is like soap in his grasp

He was crap today, I am concerned that he wont be the player we all want him to be but lets face it as a team we were average today.

He's got heart. He makes a mistake and tries hard to make up for it. There a plenty worst wearing the yellow and black. Like Pettifer

Why do I get the feeling that you're one of those fans who gets up 10 minutes into the last quarter and leaves to beat the traffic?

What a girl she is.

Bowden pissed me off today aswell, he was in lazy mode.

He has definatly improved and looked good today.

It just seems at times he plays with no confidence. It is like he is scared to play the style of football he got drafted for, he attacks the footy and looks to dish it off before he grabs it. He needs some reassurance and a liscence to use his pace and to try break the lines. I really hope he makes it for your sakes, but to put Franklins statistics on a midfielders locker is ridiculous the last thing the kid needs is the continual pressure to play like his drafted counterparts.

Back to the two's for the next 6 weeks regardless of form. Just cannot keep getting a game without trying absolutely everyone on the list before seasons end.

He needs to be told if you get caught then dont worry about it, try again next time.

8 out of 10 people wouldnt catch him if he turned on his speed.

I think your spot on about the confidence thing, he got caught a few times early in his career and now doesnt run as direct or dishes it as quick as he can.

But as 1980 says atleast he tries to make up for his mistake.

All the pain we've gone through with the likes of soft duds like Daffy and Campbell, and now we've got to suffer another generation in the likes of Pettifer.

Tambling went okay today. At least he looks up and thinks about what he is going to do with the ball. Tuck had a shocker and Foley was quiet, and there were plenty others worse than Tambling.
