back to tapscott, he is impressing people down at melb Fc...........is there a permanent spot for him?? at this stag`?
They just said on SEN that due to your injuries Tapscott will play on Sunday. That's fantastic for him, I reckon you guys will like what you see![]()

With Scull out, I would say that Tappy is a 100% certain starter this week. I guess the decision will be between he and Gysberts, but from what I saw at the praccy match, Gys looks like he is underdone adn needs to get a few full games into him. I would give Tappy the nod. I reckon he is just one of those blokes that will just look right at home on the 'G'. He looked like a 3rd year player, not a 1st gamer against the Lions. Best kick we have as well.
Good luck Luke.
I hope he makes a fist of it as I want to have him in my SuperCoach![]()

In reality the injuries haven't meant a thing. He would've played anyway.
Tapscott will play as a small back and our injuries have been to mids and a tall back.
If Frawley, Morton and Scully were available I reckon Tapscott would have had to wait a few more weeks.
Anyway Im not disappointed - cannot wait to see the lad go!
I disagree. We've been crying out for a great kick that can penetrate zones and presses. Bailey said in a recent article that the sooner we can get games into Tapscott the better. Connolly said on radio that he could be the recruit of the year.
One of Strauss or Tapscott was going to play, imo. He'll play back, others will try and get the ball in his hands, and he'll do the odd kick in. Morton, McKenzie, or Scully wouldn't have affected his role.
Grimes intercepts the ball off half back passes off to Tapscott who goes for a run down the centre then pin points a flying Jurrah on the lead at half forward.
Sound good?
You try finding 4 guys to drop if Morton, Scully, Frawley and McKenzie were available.
I love Bartam's courage and hardness, and despite his good 2010 he will ultimately need to make way for a quality kick.
But yeah, it's getting hard. The way it should be. A number of players ranked 15-22 become a toss of the coin, but I'll always try and make room for the elite kick if it's 50/50. Especially if it's an elite kick coming out of defence with the way the game is now played.
