If he leaves the saints he will go back to perth as was his wish last year.

We never looked like getting him.

Tim Notting is out of contract.

He can play Midfield , Half Back and Half Forward. And has pace.

We don't need midfielders as such. What we need is genuine pace. We have:
Buckley,
Burns,
Licuria,
Woewodin,
Lockyer,
Holland,
Johnson,
Lonie,
Cole,
Didak,
Davis,
Shaw x 3
Mullins,
Swan,
McGough

What we lack is pace, skill and flair. We need someone like Harvey. The only midfielder I would pay a price for other than Harvey that I have heard bandied around is Bruce and that's because he is a quality midfielder who can mark a man, play creative and kick goals up forward. I'd rather take Bruce than Notting by a long stretch and I can't what Black offers that we don't already have.

Notting would be handy but I wouldn't give up too much for him. He would be a risk as it is hard to judge 'depth players' in great teams. It is easy to assume that he could become a good 1st or 2nd string midfielder if given the opportunity but you also could assume that he would struggle in a team not as great as Brisbane.

What you guys need is to draft Eckerman extremely quick great skills and can kick goals up forward. Likes to run with the ball.
