Just one further note to all those voting, you do not have to allocate your votes in whole numbers. However, please restrict them to one decimal place.
How do you react to the news your prestigious award is being rigged for personal gain?

Hi guys, I will be voting on you guys for your performance in the match thread last week for Tarks metrics thread... basically just a last minute thing to say you can go back like all my posts and sway the vote your way. Cheers.

It’s fine. nahnah is just one of twelve voters and can vote how he sees fit (although I’d hope he’d do so with integrity). At the end of the day because he’s voting a different opponent each week any votes that aren’t deserved will probably be lost to consensus over the course of the year anyway.

I can’t comply with this, but feel free to round them to the nearest

You can put me down for the Wonders, although you already seem to have Wooshette which is weird because she doesn't even play for the Wonders

Yeah the OP needs a little editing. I have someone from each club at this stage. However will likely call on you in reserve if I can't reach the team's rep in a given week.

Who’s the MBD rep Tarks?

Welcome to the Round 1 edition of Tarkymetrics. Our twelve voters have contributed their thoughts on Round 1 of SFA action, and their opinions have been included within the algorithm to give us both our first team of the week and dynamic team of the year.

Now to run quickly through the process - the highest number of points that can be allocated by the system in a given week is 10. Spots in the teams are allocated based on a process, so there I have no input into whom is selected ahead of whom. Each team will always contain a minimum of 5 players that are considered forwards, 5 players that are considered backpeople, 5 players that are considered midfielders (2 outside, 3 inside) and a ruckperson. The remaining positions are allocated based on a process that is determined by the balance of the existing players in the team.

This system looks to reward diversity more than anything - both attempting to encompass posting and performance, and attempting to give players playing less prolific positions every shot of earning their spot in the ultimate team. As such, the team isn't just comprised of the 20 players receiving the highest ranking point totals for the week. In fact, the lowest qualifying player for the team of the week is sitting 37th in overall ranking points. A power ranking list (and perhaps awards night) will be revealed at the end of the season.

Backline:
The backline has a surprising number of big names amongst it. Two times Mobbs Medallist Wacky Tiger is the headline act in his first foray into the defence in recent memory, whilst Hawks stalwart Noobz0r holds down full back. manangatang is probably the surprise packet in the back third, holding down centre half back after a very impressive week, putting up 53 posts and being rewarded for his activity with a very handsome allocation of votes from the Warriors representative. Elton Johns Wig earned a position, albeit in the backline after a superb first-up outing against his former club, while Freofalcon caught Fury eyes with a sterling performance from a back pocket. sportsmaniac89 is the final selection, making the team mostly off his posting exploits.

Midfield:
Usually home to the cream of the crop, this week's midfield contained a surprise; as veteran HawkPatrol turned back the clock, making 53 contributions to the match thread on his way to one of the most impressive performances of the week. Bears stalwart JoshWoodenSpoon was an unsurprising inclusion in the other after a standard week. Ant Bear was named centreperson for his role in the Swamprats despite only picking up 19 possessions on game day.

@Koh Phil was named ruckperson in the team of the week after extracting maximum points for his posting, despite what was an underwhelming game. Ruck rover was assumed by fitzroybowiedog who smashed all comers with 111 Dream Team points and 129 posts to boot, while Demons favourite Yakker fell two Dream Team points short of that, settling into Rover.

Forwardline:
The forwardline contains two Demons in opposing pockets, with sausageroll earning selection as a small forward and Headless claiming his position as the third tall forward. Dingster became the third Swamprat meriting selection, anchoring the team at Full Forward. Roys recruit I Dont Care made an impressive first impression for the season with 95 posts and 61 Dream Team points, a performance that Tarkymetrics rated above average. The two flanks were awarded to relative up and comers GreyCrow from the Royals, and Knifey Spoony from the Dragons - the later imposing themselves with a rather high vote count and an above average sim performance all from 13 posts for the week.

Interchange:
The final two spots in the team to be awarded were given to league heavyweights, with the Royals' Cloud_ doing enough in the ruck to lay claim to a berth, whilst the Gumbies SM posted 63 times and had a reasonable, 20 disposal, 6 tackle game.

Top stuff Tarks. Suprised there was not RedVest4 in the side

#Vestyinthegutz
I’d expect a lot of movement during the year, especially early. I was overall spectacularly happy with how the spreadsheet worked, and for that I have to thank sausageroll for the countless hours of assistance he provided throughout the last fortnight to help take the idea and turn it into a reality.

Like literally, we have data coming out of our ears which should be of huge use when it comes to end of the season awards so I really need to thank everyone that has gotten involved, and hope they can sustain the efforts all through the season.

How the **** did Wacky Tiger make the cut??? He cant even get a team sheet right
I get the feeling he won’t be in the team by the time Round 3 rolls around. Missing games is statistically proven to be over two times worse than hypothetically only getting one touch across two games. :p

To be fair, his contribution to the team improves when he is absent
