Rocca is a better kick for goal. How many out on the fulls or kicks that didn't make the distance? Tarrant has been a bad kick for a while now, while Rocca is up and down, about this time last year Rocca was something like 20.5.

I haven't seen the 7 ads, but it is stupid to highlight one players goalkicking, especially when they are playing pretty well.

I agree exactly with what you said there. Tarrant is at his best, with his kicking, as usual letting him down. It is pretty poor, however, I am pumped to let out a cheer when he sprays one tonight.

I just heard the ad through SEN (I'm not putting on channel scum just to watch an ad). It has usual "Can the pies send the dockers back west rethinking their september plans" and at the end it says in a slightly sarcastic voice "Plus see Chris Tarrant's goalkicking extravaganza" with a clip of Tarrant spraying a shot at goal. It is stupid because our goalkicking woes have been much publicised and Tarrant hasn't been playing bad and if he was it would be of even poorer taste.

Imagine the promo Collingwood vs. Essendon and Bradley has been picked to play and they say "plus watch Bradley showcase his impressive talents" with a clip of him coughing up a goal or general f***ups.

Quite simply, despite their strengths, both Tarrant and Rocca are not good kicks for goal (and this has been going on for ten years or so). Figures like 20-15 and 17-21 are pretty appalling for key AFL forwards and, more specifically, Rocca's efforts against Footscray were a major reason why the game turned against us in the 3rd quarter.

One positive - with Medhurst, we've picked up a bloke who can kick straight.
