He came off and had some work on them, came back on and took an amazing mark deep in the backline before playing the rest of the game out.

Beat. Up. Article.

for people at the ground who might not have noticed, he did come off with hamstring tightness and was getting worked on, then did run troughs to see if he was right. decided to come back on after that. so not rubbish really. two weeks easily enough to get right.

It's bullshit calling it an 'injury'. Could label anyone who was massaged at any point in the game as injured if that was the case.

The media and especially the sun herald will say or do anything to derail the Pies, the fear rises again this because the team won.

You only have to look and see what UK arm of news Ltd are capable of to see what their standard of journalism and ethics are,the beatups and rumours will get worse the further we go.

The whole team will benefit from a week off and the media do not like it they fear we may be cherry ripe by then.

Does anyone else notice how all these stories about how bad Collingwood are seem to stem from one media organisation, this weekend we have the story about how Pies fans were bad mouthing NicNat no explanation about how or why their reporter was in the Magpies cheer squad area and now how Tarrants injury is worse than we are told.

You only had to watch 10,s coverage of the match yesterday to see how the
media does not like the fact that the Pies are in with a show, and they are getting worse and more blatant.

No surprises here ipswich, I watched my first Collingwood game at Kardinia Park in 1964, it was the same then, is the same now and always will be. Forget the media, they will always use Collingwood for a headline, leeches.

They do appear to be getting more hysterical and maybe this is what the Pres means when he says there will be people who will do anything to derail the club.

Ps gday to you mate.:thumbsu::)

Media today is much worse than ever, led by the non-net media and especially the toilet paper media. Trying to prove their worth or at least try to prove some form of relevancy. One starts a bullsh1t story and the rest run with it - pathetic gutter journalism at its worst.

To some extent this is driven by the facebook/ twitter mentality of instant newsbites - whether they are true or even applicable to the subject or not. Too many scabarous stories printed/aired with just enough wriggle room to allow the media outlets to get away with it. This doesn't just apply to Collingwood though its a media wide infection. :(

Although I do not live in Victoria I think the age newspapers to be a bit more balanced and rounded, the other is not something you would wipe your arse with.

Yes agreed Age is better, though it's a matter of degree in my opinion. I dislike the media - ALL of the media for trying to BE the news, trying to shape events - and the facts to their own liking. This isn't reportage, it's story telling and should be treated with the contempt it deserves. I haven't bought a pulp newspaper in about 3 years and never will again.

They all seem to be so negative, although that is extremely positive considering where they are coming from, the media that is.

Huddo was just saying on SEN that the Collingwood defence was brilliant, Swan and Pendles had 80 possessions between them, and yet we stuggled to kick goals so really the flag favourites are looking 'shaky'. He and others are all looking at the glass half empty when it is actually three-quarters full.

I'd say that quiet games from our two big forwards, Cloke and Dawes is almost a positive considering we still won, and still with Reid and Thomas to come back, making it a full list to choose from minus N.Brown. And the question marks over Davis, Shaw, Maxwell, Toovey, Wellingham were erazed, although Davis obviously has a question mark in a grand final, but by than we are in a grand final with a heap of big game players so meh. The way Neon is playing, i'd put money on the fairy tale of him winning the Norm Smith in any case would get some nice odds.

After Tarrant scarily went off with hamstring tightness, Walls clamed that this would free up Kennedy, but you could really sense his happiness, basically knowing who Walls is, you knew he was showing delight to the audience that the possibility of Taz injury would be devistating to Collingwood given Reid is already under a cloud and that it would 'free up Kennedy'.

It will be really sweet if we can win this years flag that's for sure.

One of these days Collingwood will THRASH Wall's Blues in a final - hope I'm still alive to see his face when that happens - pr1ck of the highest order.
