Geelong has enough "talls", all we need is a "quality" tall. tarrant is uh... crap.

Tarrant isn't the player we're after, he lacks consistency and doesn't kick enough goals for Geelong to chase him. Bartel finished about 12th (or thereabouts) in last year's Brownlow despite only playing about 12 or 13 games, he has had some injury troubles this year but has shrugged them off now and is playing spectacular footy (see yesterday's game), to suggest a straight swap grossly underrates Bartel.

Jimmy will stay with Geelong for a while and will be a champion footballer. I don't think Tarrant works hard enough to make use of his talent to be worth chasing. We already have a tall-medium forward who shows glimpses and then plays like crap for a few games and that's Gardiner, however, Charlie is quite a few years younger than Tarrant and I think will develop into a less spectacular but similar footballer.

A player of his talent could useful, a player with attitude could be useless. When he say , like Ottens said , "I want Geelong " then we can start talking

you guys are tripping....
Tarrant is a player with a ton of talent & potential -
don’t know how he could fit in with Henry starting to do so well,
& definately wouldn’t swap Jimmy Bartel for him....
apparently he was a cats supporter as a kid & if he did show interest in
a move down here the club would be mad not to have a good hard look
at him. i’d love to see him in hoops instead of stripes

I must admit I haven't seen much of Collingwood this year, or Tarrant. Friday night I watched as he dropped his head, didn't put any second efforts in and just seemed totally dis-interested.

If you want a Trade you could do a swap with Fevola, they're almost on par atm.

I agree, you'd be nuts to trade Bartel for Tarrant

However, the guy is playing injured, and is getting shocking delivery. On paper he'd probably fit in well with your team, and would get the delivery to make him a good player.
