Tarrant isn't the player we're after, he lacks consistency and doesn't kick enough goals for Geelong to chase him. Bartel finished about 12th (or thereabouts) in last year's Brownlow despite only playing about 12 or 13 games, he has had some injury troubles this year but has shrugged them off now and is playing spectacular footy (see yesterday's game), to suggest a straight swap grossly underrates Bartel.
Jimmy will stay with Geelong for a while and will be a champion footballer. I don't think Tarrant works hard enough to make use of his talent to be worth chasing. We already have a tall-medium forward who shows glimpses and then plays like crap for a few games and that's Gardiner, however, Charlie is quite a few years younger than Tarrant and I think will develop into a less spectacular but similar footballer.
