EB, Shirls is dead. Died a couple of years ago in a chopper crash in Queensland. Wouldn't have thought you'd be old enough to remember him!

He was like a childhood hero. I seriously use to think he was a proffesional Tattslotto Drawer or something. Ofcourse I remember the bloke.

I'm trying to remember what he use to say when he stuck his thumb up at the end of the draw. LOL

Just the other day I was watching a video of Grease or something....and there was an Ad and it was the tatts draw and Shirls was on it! classic.

heckin'g Tattersalls. Just rang them, after being on hold for 20 minutes cos the heckin'g application form ISNT online when it was supposed to be, at 11AM this morning and the stupid tw@t says to me its not available for another hour.

Hmm really. Its just a conspiracy so all of the Eddie MGuire Toorak fkcks of the world can get all the shares before us normal people even have a hope in hell.

They suck.

Now i have to go to work (late, as organised so i could apply for these friggin shares) without having applied, unable to access the site at work, and hope that i still have a chance when i get home from work.

At the risk of sounding rude, I hope you know what you are doing. Tattersalls is quite a risky share option, the reason why they are so profitable is because it is the only company with a gambling lisence in Vic. That gambling licence ends in afew years and if tattersalls loses it will have massive implications for the company. I also think the Vic Govt were going to do something in 2006 which also put the shares at risk (someone might be able to expand??).

Anyway good luck with them. My family is one of the orgininal shareholders who will be receiving a large proportion of your money

That aside, EB, they released 4.8 million more shares to the public, and still closed the offer early - today!!

Now we play the waiting game... Apparantly they had an overwhelming number of applications....

You may have researched, but after I read that I was not so sure. I think I came across alittle strong, I didnt mean to patronise you. But this is not a comfy investment, its ranked medium-high risk in my brokers listing.

After your extensive research you may have found that tattersalls has been giving dividends to around 100 people since 1900. My family has been receiving those dividends because my grandfather was a politician who voted in favour of the founder of tatterstalls 100 yrs back. When tattersalls floats on the ASX we will receive a lump sum from the company.

I was merely trying to help you, I was not trying to make you look stupid.
