Tattoos

Of course, people may grow out of the idea they once thought was brilliant, but I reckon that's more to do with the sort of tatts that are picked out off the studio wall on a whim on a Sat'd arvo, than the 'themed' ones that you see.

Chest pieces on girls and the current trend of 'bows' for example...I just don't get.

That's the part that has always concerned me - I know that a whole heap of the stuff I thought was really important when I was 18 means nothing whatsoever to me now. And most of the rest has diminished in significance - I'm really, really glad I didn't get tatts when I was an 18 year old roadie from the country! I can sorta understand the guys that get their kids names done - at least you know that they will be always be important to you, no matter what.

What is with the bows on girls legs? I've seen these around a lot and can't for the life of me see the attraction (or significance) of these.

Nah, mine looks like this.

Only with shading and colour, which has since been added.

Do you have a photo of this finished G?
Would love to see it.

Not really. I took a pic after my last session, but still have to go back for one more when i get around to it( was planning on doing it after Summer).

I want to get a Hawk on my shoulder/upper back.

Not as big as the one you've got Galon. I want it to look mighty and angry, all at the same time.

I do like how Buddy's tattoo is about his heritage, but that's not for me.

Galon, definitely post yours when it's done. Has it taken you a while because it's in a painful area, or have you just not got around to it?

Each to his or her own.

I have this disturbing image of nursing homes in 30 years time being filled with men and woman with generic celtic band tatts... saggy skin...

Middle-aged muffin topped arse-antlers

Strangely enough, I kinda felt the same about having kids until I had my own (could never understand why anyone would want to, to be honest) but now i love it - maybe its that same with tatts!

I have both.

The tattoos are cheaper, less painful, don't fight with each other constantly and don't leave toys all over the house to trip over.

It's kind of like that old ad where Kieran Perkins' mum wrote his name on his milk.

I don't remember that one.

It's a pity the picture doesn't show the entire peice.
I'm not a big fan of the huge font, but it the artwork looks pretty good on the whole.

Looks like an 80's metal album cover...imagine a metal band called "Rioli"...I don't know why, but I have this idea they'd sound a bit like Anthrax!?!

Guess he'll never have to produce ID to prove who he is, anyway.

<In case of amnesia>

Does anyone have any studios they can recommend for great shading?

I'm thinking about getting more work done, but want to look around a bit first.

I want to try a tattoo,but i hate pain:(

Watching and supporting Adelaide should have you in good shape - just pretend those 16 thousand old ladies knitting in the stands are driving the needles into your skin.

And your dad is Graham Cornes.

And you have sons called Chad and Kane.
