With Garland, Carroll, Miller and Newton all named on the ground Frawley on the bench would make us too tall.
Double team Buddy with Miller and whoever is rucking dropping back in front of him. Put Bell on Buddy.

I am glad Miller is named forward, i think thats where he should play, interesting to see that, from what i read and heard that he played the preseason in the back line. Maybe Baily has keep up alot up his sleeve over the preseason.Lets hope so i suppose! Go dees!!!

Sure are massive wraps on the kid this season.

Robbo the other day was saying with a bit of confidence, the kid could be anything.

Don't think all the talk is going to do anything but put more pressure on his shoulders but will be good to see how he goes.

Boyle would be ideal I think, especially as he's coming in on a bit of an injury cloud.

Roughead for Carroll is a given I think. Miller or Bell can have Franklin. Wheatley or Bell then to raffle Williams.

Rioli will get one of Yze, Green, Bode or Wheatley. Depends on other match-ups to be honest.

Not sure if he weights 110! But definitely a big unit and arguably the most talented forward at the club along with Buddy.

I've been hearing alot of raps about Garland. Will be very interesting to watch him play.

Another player i'm interested in watching is young Buckley. Impressed me alot during the NAB Cup.

Bell will take Williams as he can match his pace nearly. Thorp will probably be underestimated and get our duddest defender and then kick an early couple before we stand up and take notice.

looking at that team i would suggest that garland will get a crack at playing on Buddy... will be interesting to see if it happens...

It will be interesting to see which way Bailey goes with his changes throughout the game. Quite conceivably we could have had about 3 different defenders on Buddy by 1/2 time if he carves up the first options. Either way because it is round 1 and we have so many question marks I think the coach may stick with his match ups regardless throughout the game just to see who gels where unless it is looking like being close and advantageous for some swap arounds.

I must say I will keep a close eye on Garland after some of the positive feedback in this thread. Also I am glad Bode is a possible starter. If he sucks this year then I wan't to know early so we can start concentrating on other players. He ran the lines last year (4 games anyway) and kicked a couple of great goals but I won't stick my head on the chopping block to vouch for him as he has stunk so far this year.

I can't find Rivers on any injury list. Is he playing in the two's this week or just a week short of senior selection?

I am expecting good things from him this season.
