The Richmond team for Round 6, 2005:-

B: Chaffey, Gaspar, Newman

H/B: Bowden, Kellaway, Deledio

C: Meyer, Tuck, Tivendale

H/F: Brown, Richardson, Tambling

F: Krakouer, Simmonds, Stafford

R: Knobel, Coughlan, Campbell

I/C from: Raines, Hall, Jackson, Johnson, Graham, Pattison

i assume that pettifer should also be on the bench...

good to see both meyer and tambling making their debuts :)

pattison and johnson prob wont play though

tbh i reckon raines deserves to keep his spot, graham too considering ports tall forward line, id say jackson and hyde will be the outs, pattison to wait another week or so and johnson should be right for next week if he doesnt get up for sunday

i dont think raines deserves to be dropped for tambling or meyer but suspect he will ,we are pretty conservative with young players..

I think Raines and Jackson showed a bit last week. would be dissapointing to see them dropped. Our short backline will be exposed big time this week.

i would also love to see Raines keep his spot in the side. Good to see tambo and meyer making their debut, i think maybe drop pettifer even tho he hasnt been travelling so bad but hasnt showed anything special and maybe leave graham in and leave patto out for a week just to make him try even harder for coburg good luck to the young blokes this week and lets KILL EM
GO TIGES!!!

The word on the streets is Johnno is still a week away. Anyone else heard this???

Well done to Tambo, Pattison and Meyer. Can't wait to see these boys in action.

Heard TW say on fox footy that he is happy with the way Raines is developing and it doesn't matter if he is playing for Richmond or Coburg as long as he keeps developing each week. I sort of read that as meaning Raines would probably drop back this week. Not such a bad thing as it gives him a chance to play a full game. Most of these kids are going to be coming on and off the pine a bit in the firsts so its good development to let them play out a full game or two at Coburg every now and then.

Hall, Pettfier, graham and jackson for the bench, with johnson not fit, pattison and raines emergencies

Would like to see Rainsey in the seniors but expect he would be one of the players to make way. A full four quarters in the midfield with Coburg wont do him any harm.

Expect that Johnson will miss at least another week.

why would u drop jackson? He hasn't had alot of ground time every game, but he does well when he come on. We have midfield injuries and we need him to play there. Graham has similar ground time, but barely touches it and he does do the occasional mistake too. We have Ray Hall, so we don't need Graham. I say drop Graham and Pettifer. Jackson will have to play in the middle this week with Hyde and Jonno out.

Because kids are rarely physical able to play 100 minutes of AFL intensity football.

We have basically had Deledio, Jackson and Raines sharing 2 positions. Deledio is getting 3 quarters, Jackson 2 and Raines 2. Adds up to 8 quarters or 2 players. A good system of giving them a taste without running them into the ground or overly stressing their bodies.

No point putting them in the gym all week trying to add bulk only to have them run it all off (and more) come the weekend.

Add Meyer and Tambling for Raines and Jackson and we can keep the model working. Means we can blood the kids without sacrificing too much.
