EMBLEYS BACK!!!!! Hopefully he will play and not pull out last minute.
Pity Butler's out injured. He's been playing some good footy through the midfield

where'd you get that from? it's not even on the afl site yet!

glad to see Embley back, i hope where not rushing him though. I think Staker is lucky to keep his position, and Munro is an interesting selection.

Embley back - that's good.

Butler out - that's bad.

notice Embley is only on the extended banch, id say there is still a chance he has to pass a fitness test to make it otherwise he will not be selected on the shortened bench.

I don't mind if Munro comes in but only if Sampi is dropped. I think Green shows in the WAFL that he is really a midfielder and not a back pocket. Wouldn't be surprised if he played.

I'd like to see Green given a shot on the wing. He's definitely quick enough and his disposal is probably as good as many of the others too

I'd like to see if Chick gets Voss again after his underrated silencing of the superstar last time around.

Green and Munro whilst having been in top WAFL form would upset our balance a bit. I would be dropping Sampi to the WAFL that would be 1 way to incorporate one of the two aforementioned into the side.

Commetti said tonight that Black probably won't play but it won't make the task any easy.

With their two gun forwards out I would say the boys should play a free running no holds barred shootout as opposed to a negating game and trying to score to late like St Kilda attempted to do last week.

Fletch and Kerr are both firing, so that will work well with Embley.

I reckon we're a good chance this week, but not a sure thing. Stuff it, I've tipped West Coast :)

Well its certainly going to be a huge game for us and Embley been named in the squad is a huge bonus, obviously he may not play yet but he is a chance so that is big news.

There is some big ins and outs though, with Cousins and Gardiner still not in the side for WC and of course Lynch and Brown both out for Brisbane. As much as Gardiner and Cuz mean to us, I think Brisbanes out's are more important.

Lynch and Brown are key bigmen and the goals could dry up if we play our cards right. Glass will obviously take Bradshaw and I would back him in to win that matchup. The only other tall they have named up forward is Keating and he would be the obvious matchup for Lynch, Id back Lynch in there too. So I like our defence.

Wirrpunda, Banfield and Waters are in good form too and they can provide plenty of run from down back. But the midfield could be the key, there are rumors that Black may not play and that would be huge for us. Then there is the possible inclusion of Embley.

Kerr, Morrison and Fletcher have been in great form, Judd is ... well Judd and they have had great backup from Waters, Banners, Braun in particular and of course Embley, if he plays. But on the opposite side of things we will have to contain Lappin, Black (if he plays) Aka and the great man himself, Voss.

Chick will get the job you would think on Voss with perhaps Kerr and Black to go head to head like they have done in the past. Wooden may make the bench for the sole matchup on Akermanis.

The Lions backline with Leppitsch back becomes formidable and we will rely on Matera to bag 4 or 5 to give us a chance. Johnson should get the job there. Michael, Leppa and White will cause headaches for Doogs, Seaby and Staker so goals from our midfield will be crucial.

But let's be honest, when was the last time Brisbane lost 2 in a row? We are woeful away from Subi and they are deadly at the GABBA. So a win is highly unlikely. Both sides have plenty to play for with Brisbane trying to secure a top 2 spot and us trying to shape the 8.

Brisbane should be too strong but you never know.

actually last time we beat them at the gabba they had lost the game before also, to st. kilda by 5 points.

I will tip us but i think it's really about 55/45 in brisbanes favour.
It will be tough but we can do it.
