Teams you have a soft spot for

Ducks and Penguins. I'll happily watch the Thrashers and Capitals so I can see Kovalchuk and Ovechkin, respectively. I also don't mind the Flyers after owning with them on NHL2001 (I think).

I'm a Montreal fan, by the way.

im a red wings fan myself but have soft spots more for players than teams so subsequently keep an eye on their team results, some of the main ones are Ilya Kovalchuk(Atlanta), Dany Heatley(Ottawa), Kari Lehtonen(Atlanta), Thomas Vanek(Buffalo), Alexander Ovechkin(Washington) and obviously Sidney Crosby(Pittsburgh), so yeah keep an eye on a fair few teams but anytime they play the red wings its wings all the way.

Quite a few actually. Suppose I'd better say the Habs, since my good mate supports them. Also Carolina, Florida, Phoenix, L.A. Kings, Colorado, Philly.

Whalers were my second team but now if Sabres can't win it I want a Canadian team (not just the Habs) to win it .

I'm a Habs fan, dislike the Leafs, the Senators and the Redwings and have a soft spot for the Sharks and at the moment, Pittsburgh.

I actually have had a soft spot for the wings since I was a huge fan of Brendan Shanahan. Now hes with my favorite team the Rangers so thats just awesome.
