Should have got a lot higher in Applicable, but I didnt finish the straightforward exam they had that year and that ********ed me off. I should havd had 97. But thats life and Im over it. After two years at uni (one in WASM in Kalgoorlie and then moving to UWA to start Engineering/Science) TEE results mean bugger all and are just forgotten about.

I did mine in 2002 aswell. I got 87.95, can't remember exact marks but got an A in chemistry and applicable, a B in physics, a C in calculus and english and a D in economics

Discrete Maths 53
English 65

Im hoping that i can get into the Law Course at ECU, or if i cannot do that ill probably do Legal Studies at Murdoch. I still cant get over my 65 in English I did the comprehension section A and B in 15 minutes. My other essays must of been bloody good...

u could do a full fee paying law degree at murdoch. i wouldnt recomend law unless u really want to do it. i got caught up in the romaticism of doing law, it seems to be what everyone wants to do simply because, well everyone before them did. as a result the TER got really high and people were attracted to it. so they can say, "im doing law". well it aint that crash hot, a guy said the same thing to be this time last year when i got in and i thought 'bah, i'll be fine. its law its what ive always wanted to do'. it took me a year to realise that i have been wanting to do it for the wrong reasons. you are much better off doing something that u will enjoy (a trust me, you have one wacked mind if u enjoy law).

my year last year was one of the strongest since the TEE inception. we have 6 guys get the full 99.95 and a truckload that got 97+. one of my closest friends did law with me, admittedly he was a out there character but he flunked this year because he thought he wouldnt have to work. he got right into the clubbing scene and is spending $2000 on drugs a month. (astonishing as it sounds). he has to write the UWA council and tell them why he should be kept on their books, because his marks were so bad. he only chose to do law because his parents wanted him to do it, as a result it hasnt worked for him.

the morale of the story is, do what u want to do. regardless of what TER requirement the course has (as corny as it sounds). u dont want to wake up in 10 yrs some half ar$ed lawyer who hates what he does. (also, the pay isnt that good, contrary to popular opinion).

one of the guys who got 99.95 is doing music (TER of 80) and another is doind physchology ( mid 80's). these guys could have done any course in Australia but chose to do something they enjoyed, not just the course which utililsed their TER. i respect those guys very much.
 
Well done guys! They are simply awesome results.. and I was pleased with my 84.55! :o

I'm in Scotland right now but wanna be over there to find out how everyone else went. I can't believe my English mark though, I've never got a mark that high in an English exam, damn that scaling though heh.

Raw Marks then Scaled Marks-
Discrete Maths: 69 and 55.4 (jipped!)
English: 79 and 73.9 (very happy)
History: 62 and 62.6 (meh, not great considering I got an A in school assessment)
H.biol: 52 and 54.2 (glad it got scaled up quite a bit.. I can't believe I passed that exam)

Thank god that's over though. Now the wait for January 19 regarding 1st round offers.
