Tekken 6

This question has probably been asked 100s of times in the past few months in Australia, and this time will be no different, when does it come out on PS3??? Some people say in November, some say next year, does anyone here really know?

There's already a Tekken on the PSN for under $30, albeit limited compared to what Tekken 6 will provide.

I love Tekken sooo very much, the greatest fighting franchise by a long shot IMO.

Probably a 2009 release, was originally going to be a December('08) release, but will probably be pushed back into 2009, due to updates.

No 'Official' word though.

TEKKEN 6 TO BE DELAYED UNTIL 2009?
It looks like fighting fans may have to wait just a bit longer for Tekken 6 to hit the PS3. Earlier today, the Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion upgrade was announced for the arcade version of Tekken 6. Like Dark Resurrection, Bloodline Rebellion should add new stages, sound tracks, costumes, characters, and bug fixes to the existing version of Tekken 6. Bloodline Rebellion will hit arcades in December of this year.

Originally slated for a 2008 release, the console version of Namco Bandai's fighter was sidelined in order to get its other fighting franchise, Soul Calibur IV, out on the market. The console version of Tekken 6 will be most likely be delayed to incorporate these new updates, possibly even into 2009.

The Tekken on PSN....I've been meaning to d/l, but it's called Tekken Online.

Is the one currently on PSN, is it online MP only, or is there a SP / Local MP aspect included?

Very much looking forward to Tekken 6 - still my favourite fighting series

I haven't downloaded it yet either, I suspect it's only online with perhaps an arcade mode. I'm willing to wait for Tekken 6.

I haven't played Tekken since Tekken 3. The last memory of I have of Tekken is beating the crap through everyone who tried to challenge me playing as Hehaichi.

Surely those massive steel boots he was wearing were against the rules?

TEKKEN 6 NOT COMING TO PS3! BUT BLOODLINE REBELLION IS!
Namco Bandai held a special press conference yesterday (just a few days before Tokyo Game Show), where they went over new and upcoming titles and other special announcements.

One of the announcements was that Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion will be heading to the PLAYSTATION 3 (no word when) and will have MORE content than the arcade version (big surprise!)… IGN was at the event and mentioned in their latest podcast that the PS3 will NOT be getting the regular version of Tekken 6, which was released late 2007 in arcades. More news as we get it!

I was having an argument with someone I know over Tekken v Virtua Fighter. He was singing the praises of VF over Tekken so much, so I said I'd give Virtua Fighter a chance and picked it up. Terrible game, even for someone who's a conessuir of fighting games. It now sits at the bottom of my games pile, never to see the light of day again.

PS Tekken is the best fighting game bar none. Craig Marduk owns all. Plus he's an aussie, and hes being played by an aussie (Nathan Jones) in the upcoming movie!

I am a fan of VF, but far more into Tekken

I personally find VF a bit more technical and complex if that makes sense, whereas Tekken is more "playable"

lol VF doesnt even come close to Tekken... its a shame i gotta wait till 2009 but oh well, its worth the wait. I wonder how the online is going to work, does anyone else think it will be bo5 seeing as it dosnt go for very long? I will be looking for an unbeaten streak with Steve and Hwoarang
