Looks like he's going to be a really good utility-type player for us, decision making is a bit off at times, but at least looks like he's giving 100% and has a bit of x-factor..
 
Yep great game, has played his best football on the ball in my opinion. Mzungu and Ibbotson were both good around the clearances tonight.
 
Just a off the cuff comment - but is Tendai playing better now that Barlow is in the team? - Sometime players feed off the energy/aura other players bring. Just an observation

I was on the fence and thought that the match committee had over rated him a fortnight ago but has been good recently.
 
Yeah some of your clearance work midgame was good tonight and not seeing much of you guys didnt realise how new Mzungu <spelling?> was, damn good to watch even if his disposal was a bit off at times.

Great to see Barlow coming back also as he was great for my dreamteam last year...that said I still hate your team :)

Maybe Muz, Barlow and SNOS have a bet going to be the clubs most valuable mature age recruit in 2011.

Faulks has a lot of ground to make up..........
 
After he kicked that running goal, I said "Cult figure in the making."

Freo's BOG, or just about.

And yes, I think he is playing better than Barlow at the moment - Micky's accumulating, but I'm not sure he's got much confidence in his kicking. Doesn't look like it, anyway.

Would Mzungu maybe be on the cusp of the Best 22?

Great game by Mzungu. I was at the game and he really stood out for Freo.

He is one of the very, very few in the team that is actually providing line-breaking run. Often got the ball, gave it off, kept running for the handball receive or when he got it played on immediately to keep the ball moving forward.

We USED to get that run from Duffield, Hill briefly and Palmer. Its been really lacking this year. Barlow will also bring some back once he gets match fit.

LOL **** we have a tilt at the flag this year? WOOT! I was just hoping to knock some arrogant vic teams out week 1 and 2...you know by winning 2 finals :D
You dont want anyone complementing players well I'll just wander off then wasnt even trying to troll you precious.

Really good game from Tendai, had a good few weeks. Was average against the Hawks but did a really good job in the derby.

So I dont like your team but like some of your players? Sorry but I only like 1 team and hate a few got np with the fact some of your supporters hate the saints as much as I loath Geelong (a team I wouldnt urinate on if upon fire), I understand your not in the best frame of mind after a loss but there were SOME positives for you guys out of tonights game and I commented upon them.
Tis your board and I accept you can respond how you wish being homeground and all but was only trying to be constructive.

The last was sort of added as a codicil by my conscience after saying something nice about freo...the whole sirengate thing ya know :)

Bit of editing to clarify as a bottle of Makers Mark has disapeared so without clarification its all a bit muddled.

It was a mixed bag. Some absolute gems and some shockers. Definately his best game for the team though, he handled the pressure of the highest level much better than previous games.

Bit of perspective. He was much better than Fyfe.

Fyfe with another 50% disposal efficiency game. Mzungu with 70%.

Its not that Mzungu played a solely outside game today either as he had a team high 7 clearances to go with 11 contested possessions and 5 tackles.

He probably made 4 errors in the first quarter. I even caught myself thinking Brades might have a point ( :( ).

I like him as a player though.

I don't know if Ibbo was playing on him, but yeah, hardly noticed Montagna, and Ibbo probably would have beein in our top half of performers.
