TEXAS!

What a performance from the young man.

Out: Grug
In: Texas

That shows what a very, very rare talent he is. Not many kids his age (let alone seasoned players) can do what he's done today.

Beautifully done Taylor :thumbsu:

Im speechless. This has to be the greatest moment for a crows supporter since 1998. Im serious. We finally have a gun Key Forward Kid... Now we have two! Tippett and Walker........ We have some seriously exciting times ahead.....Throw in an Otten........ Mackay....... Griffin and Maric........ Vince and Dougo..... Whos that other bloke, oh thats right, Dangerfield!!!!!!!!! VB goes ok aswell..:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:........

what a ripper!!!!God i wish i could watch the game on ABC2, but they no longer show the games in sydney. Texas Ranger NEEDS to come in to the team for Kenny 'Good Bye' Mcgregor. Anyone know how 'Rowdy' is going, would like either the Ranger or 'Rowdy' coming in next week.

Sensational!

Unfortunately I only watched the 2nd half as my Foxtel guide was telling me the Centrals vs South game was on. Luckily I switched over at the start of the 2nd half for a score.

I was surprised Norwood weren't more Walker conscious in the last few minutes, they only kicked the ball to him once and he had to shoot from more than 50m out. Never mind ... 9.1 will do.

Good as it was tho, I don't think he is ready for AFL yet. Besides which we will need him in the Norwood side to take on Sturt next week!!! :)

I haven't been this excited since Fergus Watts kicked 10 goals for the Eagles!

Was about to post the same thing :p

Its a good thig that Walker is playing some good games in the SANFL this year. He is a goal kicker no doubt about it but lets keep things in perspective. He is still a fair way off being an AFL player.

He is a stick figure and would get snapped in half at the next level. Let him play out the year in SANFL, develop his game and his body and introduce him next year. Unless of course we are at the point of having no chance of making the 8 (hard with the 8-3 record) then you give him a game to get a taste of it.

When you have the likes of K-Mac tearing today's game apart, yeah I'd leave him in the SANFL. :D

To be fair, he's in his what, 5th league game(?) and just turned 18 a few weeks ago.

And in his first game (maybe 2nd) he did kick 4.5 and at least one OOF.

I liked Fergus (before he ____ed off), but I don't think he ever had Walkers goal kicking ability/smarts. Certainly never showed this much, this early.

I'd usually agree. But when you've got McGregor doing his best impersonation of a 95 year old man without his zimmer frame, it's not a completely ridiculous alternative.

Ideally Gill or Hentschel would be playing instead (assuming Griffo didn't come back next week), but Gill is not even close, and we need to be very careful with Trent. I'd let him play at least a month more of SANFL, before even considering him for selection.

If Griffin was to miss next week, then I'd have no hesitation giving him a go. Form should always be rewarded if possible.

couple of things.

Watts was a fair bit older I'll wager, and seeing as he broke his leg or whatever it was shortly after - we don't really know if he would've kept on going with the Saints.

Walker has shown he can kick goals at every level he's been at. from country footy where we all know it's very rough n tumble against some pretty crude men at times; through to the U/18 carnival and now at the SANFL.

he's well ahead of the curve irrespective of his current body shape.

not sure, I'd play him yet but nonetheless it's all good :thumbsu:
