Hi Fellow Blue Hearts,

Throughout this season there has not been much said about the media over Carlton's lowly position on the ladder. The reason for this is because most people in the media expected us to win the wooden spoon... so in their eyes at the moment we are better placed than expected.

My point is, that throughout the last couple of years we've probably been in position to be a favourite for a game or to have a good chance of winning one.. but the team we come up against is beaten by the media over their current form and that stirs them up to beat us.

For example this season, Sydney had a poor start to the year and got stirred for it and came to play us and we just missed out. Richmond 3 losses on the trot we almost did it again but they got us. West Coast to a degree for having a bad Geelong game and boy we came close.

I guess that in these games we always seem to have the early dominance and then just miss out... it's like the media jinx us or something.

Now my fear is that the Kangaroos are being looked at closely and probably will be tipped by all those media "EXPERTS" to pump us and get that shinboner spirit back, or else they'll be called a bunch of hacks. Now I really fear because of this a game that I EXPECT us to WIN.... may slip through again.

I'll be at the game on Friday and I really wanna sing the song....

Aghhh the highs and lows of being Blue in the blood.

Go BLUES.... destroy the Kangas.

No excuses for this week:mad:
After our last game against Wst Coast the boys should be brimming with confidence and ready to take the next step! If we play the with the same commitment and game plan this week we should comfortably account for the struggling roos:thumbsu:
A loss would be a big step backwards IMO:(

Blueheart agreed,

but what I fear is that we do come out with the same commitment... but somehow the Roos for this game pull their fingers out of their ar$e and somehow just push our kids a bit too much towards the end of the game and just pip us.

If the roos do win... I dread to think of how it'll shatter the boys confidence...

But We definitely on form should win.... I know we will.... right??

GO BLUES

over the last few year, when we have expected our team to be at it's best, the reverse has happened and we have actually been at our worst. Don't be surprised again. Just wish and pray.

Fevola will destroy the kangas backmen. I'd suspect he'll kick another 6 goals plus this week, and that will put us in good stead for a victory.

Cant wait to go to the footy this week however, and i hope everyone waking up for the soccer in the morning doesn't deter too many fans.

Go the blues!

I think we'll win. We should be confident after pushing West Coast last week, while the Roos were thumped. If Fev fires it'll really help us (which he has done more than not this season), while we need our experienced players in Stevens, Lappin, Scotland etc to play well. Hopefully Whitnall being captain will motivate him and the team to play at their best.

Our last game couldn't have come at a better time. It created a great positive vibe around the club and there have been some terrific articles written about our young guys in the News papers. I hope we win this game, it can only lead to more good things.

In the past few games against North, Daniel Wells has been our bogeyman, who are they gonna put on him to try and contain him?
Would have to be Walker. He has the pace, the agility and the aerobic capacity to go with Wells. He also has enough hardness to maybe put Wells off his game.

Wells has been out of form lately. If he can stay out of form we might beat them.

Latest odds Kangas $1.75, Blues $2

Don't think we have anyone else that could go with Wells. Should be a good matchup.

Yeah, we go to perth and tear our guts out at Subi and you guys EXPECT to come back and win. Agreed it was a strong show, would love to pick one up, we deserve it, but we are coming off a ball tearer of an away game. (Ok rest aside....).
We have lost our captian and have serious injuries to plenty of our better players................

hmmmmmm......come to thinkk of it we could win this. Come on you baggers, get in there and fix em up. I hate the kangas, they thought they were too cool for school in the 90's.
