Was:

Our first 11 goal quarter since round 21 1996 in the sad game against Fitzroy - we kicked 11 7 in the last quarter which was the last quarter Fitzroy ever played in melb so comes under the special circumstances asterisk. Prior to the our last 11 goal quarter was Round 2 1989 V Footscray.

Was only the second time we have kicked 11 in a second quarter. 1st was v Essendon 1970.

Was only the 8th time we have kicked 11 in a quarter.

Was our equal 10th highest quarter score ever. We have played 8080 quarters of footy since we joined the comp. so that is a great effort.

The game score is also the highest we have kicked since round 17 2003 V western bulldogs (24.11 155)

It was our biggest win since Round 19 2006 V Brisbane 142 - 60.

Was sitting there watching it and at 18 mins in we had 7 or 8 up and I was just thinking "Sh1t - whats going on here". Mind blowingly impressive.

Towards the end of the quarter, guy in front had been going off leading a lot of the cheers on the second deck, and said "Hell its a long quarter" (30 mins on the clock at that point). My answer - "That's what happens when you kick 11 in a quarter". He just looked at me and said "That many" - and he was genuinely surprised. The goals were flowing that easy it was tough to keep track. Hell it was good.:thumbsu::D

Mate you are one lucky unit WATIGE to have witnessed that live.
The only thing that would have been better is if it had of been at The "G" with 50,000 screaming Tiger fans raising the roof.
Would have blown The Raw Meter apart... :thumbsu:

It's not the first time this year our forwards have gone on a goal-kicking rampage for one quarter. The ability to kick a lot of goals very quickly is a powerful weapon, and wonderful for building confidence in a young side. I'm starting to think that the Tiges will improve very quickly from here. Especially with the infectious confidence of the likes of Riewoldt, Connors, Edwards and Cotchin. (And the reliability of Pattison, McGuane, Thursty, Moore etc.). And I can't help shaking the feeling that Sarge could be our swingman (a la Adam Hunter).

Bloody oath Roachy. I've managed it twice now this year and both times here at Subi.

Just hope I can get it twice more 'cause I'm going to be at the G for the Hawks and Dockers games in 5/6 weeks time - looking forward to the old Raw meter losing it's lid!!!:D

We like to go a roll. We banged on 8 goals in 15 minutes against Melbourne and did similar against Port and Essendon. I was expecting a blitz against Carlton but we were off our game that day. Hopefully we come out and blitz the Bombers in the first quarter like last time :thumbsu:
