I think all Geelong supporters with half a brain predicted exactly what happened today...I knew this is exactly how we will play...

Now watch for the ******s to say "Hawkins, Mooney Nablett" did nothing it's all their fault...

its ****ing ridiculous. As someone i know put it, they give u a glimmer of hope before bringing u back to earth violently. I mean i dont want to give up hope now but the fact we cant beat the hawks is piss weak!

No excuses for Mooney's poor performance today

We were terrible. Please never bring King or Byrnes in again.

As soon as the game gets tactical bomber loses the plot. Any sane man wouldn't have let Hodge just sit behind the ball.

 I guess you havent been to a Geelong game in a while...

Geelongs problems have all got to do with us mucking around with the ball in the backline...and by the time we actually move foward there are 10 defends on 6 fowards...

Some weeks we play well moving it quickly then as soon as we come up against a side like Hawthorn they just revert back to the crap style...I dont undertstand why...

I'd hate to be Mooney/Hawkins/Nablett and putting up with the pathetic delivery and constant holding up of the ball...

As a Geelong supporter, one must be able to see the 'funny' side of today... I'm hardly surprised; in fact I tipped the Hawks.

A bit of perspective wouldn't go astray. We lost a close game in difficult conditions. Last year we got thrashed by the Hawks twice, I'd hate to see the reaction if that had happened today.

i guessing you didn't watch the game, becuase we were terrible, I'd like to give the Hawks some credit, but don't think they deserve much, we handed them that game.

I think that depends entirely on how much longer you have on this Earth.
QFT.

Though, as geelong_boy said, perspective wouldn't go astray. Played crap footy, but we lost by 5 points at there homeground in difficult conditions, when they thumped us at our home grounds last year.

That's exactly what we need...more Geelong supporters accepting mediocrity...that's all we need... "it was a gallant effort"...no one wants to hear that rubbish...

And how do you account for Mooney's dropped chest marks and shanked kicks under no pressure?

Mate it was difficult for both teams. If Geelong are ever going to get anywhere they should win games like these. We were an absolute disgrace. Played poorly and made stupid decisions

I did watch the game, and I'm as pi$$ed off as any GFC tragic. Yes, I agree that we did make some crucial errors, but given it was a close contest it could've gone either way, as it did in the end. Getting sick of losing to the Hawks though.

I get the feeling that whenever a game gets close, Geelong cracks and always loses... I can't remember us winning close games in ages. Shannon Byrnes GET THE **** OUT. Steven King, either do something or **** off, we don't need you. Cameron Ling, good job but learn to be AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. Cameron Mooney, DONT CHOKE. BACKMEN/MIDFIELDERS, RUN AND KICK DONT **** AROUND IN THE MIDDLE.

Hawkins, Mooney, Nablett did nothing, it's all their fault. :) Maybe it was the pressure they had on them, the difficult conditions, unfamiliar ground, and you're bagging the crap out of them . Even though their were lots of mistakes on both sides, that's what pressure can do.

Yeah whatever. Can't see how you think I'm accepting mediocrity. You're probably one of the 'supporters' who'll say that the club should tank after that loss and get ready for next year.

All my point is that it was a difficult day for both teams given the conditions, it was a close contest and today the result went in Hawthorn's favor.

After last year, we are coming off a low base. Obviously it's still too early to say how we are going to go but I'll reserve my judgment on the team for a while yet, not on the back of a FOUR point loss.
