After we finished the draft game last year we didn't really do anything with the teams other than that poll which nobody voted in, so I thought this might be an interesting way that everyone can get some recognition for their good picks, and maybe also have a chuckle at the ones that didn't go to plan. This is not meant to decide the winner of the game.

I tried to make the awards reflect the point of the game - to put together a team that will actually work, not a side full of star midfielders which is why there is an individual award for each of the members of the All Australian spine bar FF which is covered by the coleman. The aim is the awards should come about as a result of good drafting, rather than drafting for awards.
If you have ideas for other awards, think some of the awards shouldn't be given or go against what the draft game is about feel free to post it here.
Some of these are opinion based and while it would obviously be better to have someone not involved in the game deciding, I'll have to do for now. I'm not going to give myself any of the opinion based ones. Depending on reaction maybe we will have a similar thing next year with someone unbiased.

Goes to the poster who selects the Coleman medallist.
Coaches Pet Award
Goes to the poster who selects the winner of the AFLCA award as voted by the coaches.
McLaren's Friend Award
Goes to the poster who selects the Brownlow medallist.
The Clutch Award
Goes to the poster who selects the Norm Smith medallist.
Most Valuable Award
Goes to the poster who selects the winner of the MVP award as voted by the players.
The All Australian Australians Award
Goes to the poster who selects the most players from the initial All Australian sqaud.
Elite of the Elite Award
Goes to the poster who selects the most players from the final All Australian 22.
The Rock Award
Goes to the poster who selects the All Australian Full Back.
The Centre Half Rock Award
Goes to the poster who selects the All Australian Centre Half Back
The King's Award
Goes to the poster who selects the All Australian Centre Half Forward
The Holy Hitouts! Award
Goes to the poster who selects the All Australian first ruckman.
The Treasure Hunter Award
Goes to the poster who gets the best value pick. The better the player from the lower the pick.
The Golden Spud Award
Goes to the poster who gets the worst value pick. The least performed player from the highest pick.
Open to all feedback, depending on reaction we might have something like this at the end of the 2011 season for this years draft game.
