Shit career path move. For aussies wanting a step up it should be Belgium, SPL, France, Holland, Germany, Championship / EPL, La Liga, Portugal, Serie A/B, Turkey, J-League.
MLS, other leagues in Asia, Norways, League 1 etc are just sideways steps without being a real leap forward over A League.
These moves don't usually progress a promising aussie footballer much further.

More great news for the A League fixture, the potato farm aka Allianz stadium needs 10 weeks for the surface to be redone, so will be unable to schedule games there till January.

They had until Saturday just passed to lodge an appeal.
Have not seen any report that an appeal was lodged though.
United’s new deadline to lodge its appeal is 10am on Thursday.
Extension to lodge their appeal. So this kicks the decision down the road.
Transfer windows and fixturing all impacted while we wait.....

Might be to sure up their financial position. If I was the APL, I'd be wanting to validate evidence very closely.
Problem is when businesses are doing questionable things - it's rare for them to be doing everything by the book once they've been caught out.

My source reckons KAM has already been funding the club even though the takeover hasn't gone through. WMG are done with the club, it cannot continue with them as owners.
If so KAM is gonna be massively pissed if the stripping of license decision is upheld. Will make all of their investment moot.

From what I've read, they've promised plenty to take over other clubs and failed to deliver on all of those promises before multiple times. If their intentions are coming from the right place, I'd say they've had more than enough time already to get the details right between May and August already.

2nd tier is being run by the fa not the apl. So is actually an irrelevant point. (Also very much still in the works with champions league this season and probably next aleast)
Both a rethink in media team and cutting of funding would of helped, but that doesn't make a $38 million turn around. Apl has also brought in more sponsors recently (the new deal with ninja for women's naming rights, while keeping liberty on as a partner for example) among other things would assist this outcome.

Having asked for an extension, United has finally lodged its appeal against being stripped of its licence.
“As this is a regulatory process, the club will be making no further comment at this time,” a United statement said on Wednesday night.
