Yeah/nah.

The epic battles between Geelong and Hawthorn prior to finals were always balls out, 110% affairs because both teams wanted to dominate, (which Geelong obviously did), before the important stuff.

Hawthorn rate us, Clarko openly admits that, and they won't be throwing too many games against us in the near future.

The way they came out it was if it was them that lost the GF.

He didn't play for Peel thunder as well so it must have been a real concern for him and the Club.

What did the club officials say?

And you still haven't answered my question as to how you posted here from the Peel bench, when you can't figure out the simplest things on Big Footy.

Not having a go, just intrigued.

Not having a go, just intruiged.

I got my phone upgraded and it is a breeze to use .
The officials had no problem with me being on the bench so long as I kept quiet and didn't get in the road .

It was so good being there and hearing the instructions and comments back and forth between the officials and players .
The most interesting thing was Griff getting upset with how things were going during the second half and everyones frustrations with the injuries .

Menengola was ropeable with the timing of his injury because he knows this was the time to show that he could fill a spot in the freo team .
His dad had to console him but by the end of the game he calmed down and took it as well as he could
I think he saw the opportunity and wanted to grab it ,

I find this very hard to believe ;)

Typical Mukinbudin cry-baby.

I for one greatly appreciate your insights, Coulda. Very valuable info.

If I didn't I would not have been able to give the info
That's a bit harsh SND on Menengola me old mate as he was giving good effort and putting his hand up ,what more could you ask for .

I wasn't serious.

We used to hate playing against the Mukinbudin zone at Country week over the years. Them Italian wheat cockies had elbows like blacksmiths hammers.

Is there a small chance in hell that Hawthorn had a little internal meeting after the '10 elim, akin to Geelong in

Never found out where you're from (I'm a country boy myself :thumbsu:)

Hey thanks for popping in. Want to ask someone from a Hawks' perspective, and don't think it would be heard right on their board so I'll ask you here. Did it all seem a bit too easy, like surprisingly so, against Freo tonight? I mean, I've not seen a Freo team play with so little intensity, work-rate and lack of pressure since the early days when Ross first arrived. I know the Hawks are fantastic movers with and without the ball, and skilled in the way they go about it. Your boys were running really hard and made us look pedestrian, so not suggesting there was no effort, but we offered so little resistence. I wouldn't mind a Hawk's point of view.
To answer your query, I do think that tweak in the game plan Clarkos been talking about May have been left for Freo IMO. There was definitely a different way of ball movement with different players in different areas of the ground which they weren't doing last year. Now, I as a Hawk supporter have picked upon a few things but won't give them away just yet...;)
As for you guys, well that wasn't and will not be the way you guys will turn up for the rest of the year IMO. Fyfe and Barlow are brilliant Inside Mids and were sorely missed as for the Hawks outs although they are some big names we may have a better depth available at the moment. On a side note we've been smashed by Richmond for two bloody years and stil keep spirits up..Freo are still a huge threat!
