Anyway, I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread where we can talk about things that we are thankful for in the footy world.

1. Richmond - Max Holmes Thank you to Richmond for trading us the pick that got us the league's greatest young talent - Max Holmes In later years when they 're-draft' his draft year, Max will be the #1 pick, guaranteed.	View attachment 2281543

Luke Beveridge and Footscray - Bailey "Brownlow" Smith Thanks to Luke Beveridge and Footscray for creating such a shithouse environment that any player with any level of sensitivity or intelligence wants to leave. I'm thankful to GWS for refusing to negotiate a way to return Jeremy Cameron his lost COVID earnings in 2020

I'm thankful to West Coast for taking Tim Kelly into their hearts and making him a part of their family so Jeremy Cameron could be part of ours

I'm thankful to the suns for trading us GAJ and the pick to get Tim Kelly so we could bring both the boys home for effectively the same pick we gave them

I'm thankful to Port Adelaide for offering Motlop a massive contract to give us above his value in compensation picks to bring GAJ and TK home

I'm thankful for Steve Hocking directing the afl to bypass the pick compo formula and hand us a pick we didn't earn for Motlop to get GAJ and TK, to get Cameron, the get a flag.

Oh, and I'm thankful for Kenny. Just for the laughs

Stevie Motlop turning into Jeremy Cameron is like that one dude turning a paper clip into a house. Favourable AFL compo into lopsided deal into lopsided deal over all our feeder clubs. I think without Covid lockdowns he'd have stayed at Geelong, but that's how it goes. Wish him all the best with his footy.
