The band decides to get back together for another crack at it to see how they go...Yeah not bad....

To quite possibly release the best album ever made....

Imagine making an album that good...

Oh my goodness!!

Faints*

It's a fair effort to have songs such as Oh Darling and Here Comes the Sun and not release them as singles. They could have, but they had other quality songs to fill that role.

Oh Darling, probably my favourite Beatles song.
1) McCartney has never performed it live?
2) Was it written as a "Sorry" to John?

Legendary album! John's hard rock groover "Come Together" and the Zeppelinish "She's so Heavy" George Harrison at the beginning of his musical peak with Here comes the sun and something on the one album Ringo's best Beatles song Octopuses Garden with help from Harrison and Paul's bass never sounded better

Never done live. Helter skelter was only debuted in 2004 so never say never though Paul definately cannot full throat growl like he did in his late 20s

Wasn't written as a sorry. John was always bitter about it because he thought it would've suited him to sing it much better than Paul. And I kinda think he's right.

I know that John believed the vocal was more suited to him. I think that Paul nailed it though.
Dont write that off so easily, there is a bit to it as a sorry to John as he saw the writing on the wall.

Funny thing about Abbey Road - I was chatting online recently with some bloke who raved about it along with three of the Beatles (oddly not a single mention of Ringo) that he seemed obsessed with. Don't know why Ringo was excluded from our conversations, or why he only went on about the other three, because the subject matter certainly wasn't music.

He had some seriously interesting tales about Beatles history and Abbey Road.

Reminded me of it today when I saw this thread. Iconic album. Sgt Peppers too.

Here Comes the Sun is one of my favourite all-time songs from all genres. Apparently George wrote it in Clapton's garden.

The covers by George Benson and Nina Simone were terrific.
