Any fans of this outfit here? Brutal Aussie metal on Earache records for those that don't know. Hellraising riffs/vocals. Some awesome drum programming going on here.:thumbsu:

saw them a few times; tepid. seriously, cold, unengaging and lame.

the music is interesting. nothing TOO unique. mind you, i saw them before "f*ck...i'm dead!", so you know...

the facemasks are about 7 years too late...

Funk...I'm dead! are terrific also. Were they (the Berzerker) playing with a Drummer when you saw them? Watching a Metal band play along to canned music can be uninspiring to say the least in alot of cases, imo.

can't remember if they had a drummer...what i do remember, however, was seeing them play at the arthouse BEFORE the stage and crowd section were 'separate'. so the band played on 'ground level'.

anyway, halfway through the show, one of the guitarists, SO **********ed off at how quiet and non-plussed the audience was, stops playing mid-song, walks around pushing members of the crowd, then picks up another guitarist, and power-slams him, WWF style. i could not believe what i was seeing!

they had a strobe on, i think, and other lighting effects. seriously, nothing TOO special. earache is mediocre nowadays, anyway. i liked earache better when dig answered the phone...

Haven't had a chance to myself. Any good? I read that they were going to be doing shows minus the masks in future.

I'm talking 3-4 years ago, and I didn't think that much of them, but then again my memory is a bit hazy...

Got to love Clerks! :D

The Berjerker are gay though. The novelty wears very thin. Their new album is awful. My brother's band played with them about 4-5 years ago, lets just say that they get better responses overseas than here.

On the other hand - Fk I'm Dead is the best grind band in the land of Oz. I can't wait to see them in a few weeks - who else is going to buy the DVD?

I know the boys, or did ages ago. How big are they these days? What's the current line up?

Jay is a big man.

not bad - always loved their song 'reality' (who doesn't love a song about edmund kemper?!) and have been listening to the new one a bit recently.

the masks are thankfully gone though - whose stupid idea was that?

their current guitarist is also playing in akercocke - now there's a good band.

I take it you've heard their excellent new-ish album. :thumbsu:

As my girl says on the rare occasion, I love the cocke...

IIRC they are (still) a 3 piece. Jay, Dave and Tom.

Fk I'm dead have grown quite a large fan base in europe and the US. I know they've done a few supporting tours (they're supporting Cryptopsy in april/may), but if they can afford to do a dvd... they must be making.... hundreds of dollars. :D

While we're on current aussie metal band exports, anyone rate The Amenta?

I was quite amazed at the huge amount of great reviews from their debut album (I was in the UK at the time), IIRC Fk I'm Dead had a similar response.
