It's a special moment.Gearing up to show Jnr is first Ashes series in the ol' Blighty. I'm excited. But not as much as years gone by.
True enough but our batting revolves around Clarke and his only weakness is against swinging ball moving away from him. If he can get 200 per test match we are in with a real chanceThey'd know that, they also would have seen our disgustingly bad effort against the Indians and their spin.
If anything, a flatter pitch bluntens our best chance of winning, and that is our quicks.

I am disappointed he isn't in the side. Surely Cowan doesn't have too many more tests if he failsSpecial K very stiff not to be batting at 3 imo
Not sure. I know Cook has trouble with left arm seamersDoesn't Kev have trouble with left arm spinners?
They've obviously seen something in the kid given he's not officially been in the squad but has been iIncluded in the lead up campaign. Can't wait to see how he performs.
It is a big of a sink or swim series for a few if our players- if we get enough of a contribution from smith Hughes agar patto and starc we are a chance. Our batsmen are the keyLikewise.
Hey, I cast a close eye over the England team today - they're very strong with some fine players. But, I kinda think we potentially have some very good players too. Looking for a 'coming of age series' for many of these players, bit like that series when Steve Waugh found his mojo. Dunno, think if our two bowlers in Patto and Starc go up a notch, and we find something int he batting, with Rogers to do what he does, we could put up a good fight. Not underestimating the quality we're facing. Lots of batsmen with 50+ tests and similar averages, not to mention the bowling. really looking forward to it.
White coats are on their wayOh, gee... the extreme slo-mo promos set to music is going to drive me nuts.
Particularly important to set the scene in the first innings too.We must field well. Can't afford to grass many chances if any
