So a genuine question to the crowbots: how far do you think you will go? when was the last time crows finished top 4 and went on to make the GF?

I would say they would choke in a home prelim, but I'm not convinced they will make it that far into September. Most likely they are 5 goals up at half time in a semi final at home against hmmm.... I don't know... West Coast and end up losing by a couple of goals.

All we've heard all year is that our position on the ladder has been heavily dictated by the "easy" the draw from the AFL and we aren't a top four side.

It's also been established by Poort flogs that if/when we lose it will be because we will be exposed in September

One team has clearly benefited from the draw this year, to the point that the AFL's declaration - that only the best make the top four - is a fair chance to be contradicted or disproved.
Worse, there is a serious possibility that a team which might be the fifth-best could finish first or second.
Adelaide was handed a schedule this year that puts it in pole position to reach the top two and thus to host a home final in the first week of the finals. Should the Crows win in week one of the finals, they would get a home preliminary final.
Remarkably, the Crows were drawn to play both expansion clubs - Gold Coast and Greater Western Sydney - twice this year, while they also have the traditional pair of showdowns against Port Adelaide, which won just three games last year and, after initial improvement, is finishing 2012 in a similarly hopeless state.

How's it a excuse. It's a fact something cash strapped power supporters can't handle.

At the end of last year we cleared out all our spuds signed all our required players. Now we are building our side and the aim was 2013 and beyond.

I wouldn't say our draw has been easy this year.

Afterall, we've played GWS twice - a team that has defeated another AFL team with 1000 years of tradition. They must be pretty good to beat Port.
