I think Richmond might hold a few interviews with certian in between players like Howatt, Hyde, Moore and Meyer and decide their futures at the club.

We pay delist howatt and then pick him up agian in the rookier draft

With the promotions of King, Graham and either delisting or promotion of Howatt plus the delisting of Clingan it looks like their could defiinatly be a few Coburg boys up for rookie selection this year.
I think Neville will be picked up in the National draft by another team if he applies, but hopefully he falls through to our first rookier pick. I would we rookie Nevile, Carnel and 2 big blokes who have impressed in the VFL/SANFL - maybe former Bomber Tristan Cartlieage to help fill the ruck void

You know nothing about football. Yes he isnt a superstar, but to put him in a list of delistings this year is absurd.

Yes, l'm not a fan, but he deserved a spot in our team EVERY week this year.

There isnt a spot for him on the list, we have Couglahn, Polo, Morton to play in his position

Terry Wallace is making a clean out of our players who don't have much left, Tivendale has been a decent player for Richmond but can't bring anything more

in the short term richmonds delistments were not the right move, but in the long run it will help...play the youngsters next year and forget about the season, get the teams youngsters in a good place and then slowly move up...better to come last and develop players for the future then keep an aging list and finish 8-10....nothing gained from comming their...

Very interesting....and stupid too! I just logged onto the tiges website with the lead story about RFC list changes, and guess who they had showing on their player profile? Yep, Brent Hartigan.
Fancy delisting someone and then displaying them as one of our current list at the same time!

The 3 delisted players played 13 games between them in 2007. No short term pain in delisting them.

So how many more do we have to delist?

Incomings (4):

Morton, McMahon, King, Graham

Outgoings (7):

Knobel, Kingsley, Gaspar, Hall, Hartigan, Krakouer, P.Bowden

If we use 3 national draft picks, and i personally think we should use 4, and the one psd pick, that would mean we still need to delist one more right?

Shortlist to get rid of: Meyer (to walk?), Schulz (to walk?), Hyde, Moore.

It is 3 years but Howat is too old. He also can not be the mature-age rookie because he has already played AFL. He needs to be promoted or cut.

People need to stop bandying around this minimum 3 picks thing. You have to have 3 vacancies. We can pass on them all if we like and use 3 PSD picks.
Does that also mean we could use picks 2 & 18 in the ND then pass on 51 and use that for the PSD?

That's very harsh. It never ceases to amaze me how some folks take a player and his underacheivement personally, like it is an attack on the supporters. Sure, Krak wasn't what many of us would have expected with such a surname, but he was very beneficial to the club in other areas such as Indigenous player development. And while his inconsistancy was his downfall, he gave us many onfield highlights in the yellow and black that i will never forget.

Of all the delistings over the last few years, his is the most saddening to me, as is the pathetic attitude of some so-called RFC supporters.
With you all the way Ima. Miller is a <entire senatnce cut>"We'll stand by him..." - my arse! I have serious doubts the knobs in charge at punt road (other than steve wright) have a clue. Miller talks about tall runners as "that's the way footy seems to be going" - really, what about jimmy bartel? blokes who can get their hands on the footy first will always be more valuable than a 1500m runner cruising past. Kraks ands PB out - two FOOTBALLERS - and tivendale, hyde, moore, JON, meyer remain. And what was the hurry to elevate gus graham? showed SFA so far, now he's taking a senior list spot when we could have kept him as a rookie. mcmahon! WTF!?
ah, i give up.
until we get some RICHMOND PEOPLE in charge we're doomed to short term fixes and arse-saving spin doctoring.
Go the Storm.

u have got to be kidding me, dont ya??

the club WILL be standing by him, they are going to continue helping him out with his personal life - which includes supporting his family IF he ends up in the slammer for a serious charge ( FFS - just because he plays for richmond - lets not forget HE is charged with causing GBH to someone:rolleyes: )

"continue to support him" does NOT mean we have to keep employing him as a player - a player who has under achieved now for the past 3 seasons , since we gave hime a VERY generous contract of around $350k per season

there are more ways to "Support" someone, then giving them a job they do not deserve ahead of other players - krak had his chance and he sdidn't make the most of it while with richmond.:thumbsd:

Well said.

Im sure he'll stay in WA now though so I dont think we'll need to offer him anything. He can do what he wants in the WAFL.
