How about the value of keeping your team alive or would you prefer to wait till they are relocated and crack up then. Membership isnt about value its about your CLUB!

How about the club giving us a reason to support them? Like making the finals after winning the preseason comp? Or sacking a useless coach who's had 7 years? Oh yeah, that's right.

If I know I'll be going to a few games, I'll get a membership. If I don't, I won't. Simple.

Is our input to the AFL now regarded as irrelevant? I resent the references on SEN to us a one of the second tier Melbourne ( I think they meant Victorian) - based clubs, implying that our requests would be overlooked in favour of others. Look at the waffle on the AFL site about new software and the 2007 fixture - all a diversion!

You probably are 2nd tier insofar as consistency, marketability and the fact that Geelong fans don't really turn out in Melbourne as much as they probably should.

It's all about $$$ and television rights. It's the same for us Hawks. When you start performing and people start watching, that's when - like Collingwood - you get preference in the fixturing.

we have 13 games on a sunday which i am personally shattered about, and only 3 night matches in victoria. the night games at telstra dome are my favourite and to have only 3 of them pisses me off. i know its not entirely the clubs fault but i will not be renewing my membership because for me there is no value in it next year sadly

Completely agree there Cattas (cept for the last part.. hey i've been overseas b4 during the footy season, and still been a full paid up member).. Sundays certainly are a pain in the ass. More night games would have been better and I highly doubt the Sunday twilight matches will be a success, crowd wise.
