The Finalised Squad Thread

Over the past couple of months I'm sure everyone who is in DT has chopped and changed their squad time and again and with less than 10 days to go until lockout, now this thread is where you can celebrate the completion of your squad.

You don't have to list the players you've picked, just let everyone know that your done and no longer have to lose sleep at night trying to decide whether you should go with one of the ABC's or whether you should go with lesser premiums or if you should pack your squad with rookies and premiums or go with a team full of mid rangers.

Having said all that I can now sit back having finished my squad last night and do not plan on making any further changes to my squad unless something unfortunate happens to one of those players that I have picked i.e someone suffers a LTI.

Made a few swaps yesterday and was pleased with how my team looked. There may be a few changes to the team but nothing major i wouldnt think, barring injuries.

Had a play around this morning trying a few different players of similar price to see if I felt better about them being in and just didn't feel or look right. Must say though I was surprised to see that I had as many guns as I did. Ended up with 12 premiums, 6 possible keepers and 4 rookies (no mid priced players) starting. Overall 12 rookies have made my squad. Will have to wait and see whether that is the right call or not.

I think the key to knowing if your side is finished or not, it is if you go to change your side and can't decide on a replacement for the ones you already have then your team is finished.

Yeah I've finished, just waiting for the teams to come through.

Looking on the squads page their are going to be so many teams that are near identical. It's just those 5 different players that everonbe has that will make the difference.

Ive decided to not look at my team for 3-4 days (probably till friday), then go in and pick it from scratch.

Will give me a fresh look at it, and help me realise which players i really do back after all my research - i think its easy to get caught up on a player, even though youve only been on them for two weeks, when theres others youve been watching and thinking about since october. Also help me realise spots that are lacking and doubtful atm.

Hope it works! I still have a few concerns, but overall, i think this will do me good.

I wont finalise my side till about an hour before the game maybe even less. Will wait unitl final sqauds for saturday are released and also the final 25;s for the sunday game. Im thinking the site wont break down and even if it does the save button will save your side. If you cant make the last minute changes you still get a squad that will be what you think is best.

Im still very unsure about my strategy. Over the Nab i have found plenty of value in players. The mids once again cover the Premium, Keepers, mid pricers, cheapies and rookies. The forwards mainly have premiums and cheapies whilst also bolster plenty of depth in the rookie department. My Backs are pretty much locked im very happy with the 7 ive picked. I have a few players that didnt play many games last year their but i think with good pre seasons should be fine. My bench reserves will probably be the same as everyone else but im still deciding whether or not to have Hill as my 8th back.

Rucks are all but locked. 2 premiums, Graham will play and avg 30-40. Whilst the only decision to be made is my 4th ruck (Spencer, Pyke or Jacobs). Spencer and Jacobs lead the race after strong Nab performances showing that they could also make you 80-100k. Jacobs needs to be elevated for me to pick him but he was super impressive and with NO Warnock and also hearings that they rate him above Hampson for the ruck he is a big chance to get games.

My forwards, well im pretty happy with my 3 stars/premiums. Also pretty happy with my cheapies however differnet combos can be made throung Lucas to Ballantyne and how many rookies you start back their. Will be waiting if Ballantyne is named in best 25 for sunday game.

Also cant decide about A/B/C will try and work out who will get the best start already predicted a very good start for Corey but Ablett just looks amazing. Bartel played shit and scored 116.

Also cant wait for last fanto freako email.

I feel quite happy with my side.

May make some minor changes come Freakos Email but probably mostly around rookies.
This will continue on squad annoucements most likely.

However I dont expect any changes to my midrange and keepers at the moment.

I've pretty much locked in everyone bar a few rookies. I don't think I've made any Dyson-esque mistakes like last year. The extra time DT has been opened has been very helpful.

Backs and rucks as said seem very finalised for me and have been for a week or 2. I think where teams will deifferentiate the most will be the midfield and forwards and im trying to find the right balance their as both show very high end quality of premiums and rookies, also great couple of cheapies. I think trying to get that right mix will be the difference from a very good start to a solid start.

just tinkered with my team for about the last 5 hours. Wasnt sure about 3 players and in an effort to exchange, it completely upset the balance of the rest of the team.

Decided to stick with what i had at the start of the day

Again its the backs that are giving me a few headaches.
