20 minutes in, and Bradshaw is having a dayout... when is Thommo going to make a move... perhaps Graham could go down to the backline ?

I think we could still kick goals without him... DON'T GET THRASHED

Very frustrating game, I can't see whats happening since I don't have Foxtel, but it seems like Ben Graham could have done a little bit more than what he has. He should have kicked the first goal, and Kingsley could have jabbed the next... :o

I want to see it, come on Cats, don't get blown away, pleaseeeeeeee

I'm a bit disappointed with this performance, I didn't expect us to win, but we should be closer than 29 points. We've had most of the play so it seems (remember, I'm judging by the radio) and the margin should only be around 15 points. Joel Corey, get off the field, your not well mate.... I'm not critizing his ability, but I don't think hes fit enough to be out there after his clash with Leppitesch.

I've got to say, Geelong were absolutely fantastic tonight against clearly the best side in the competition on their turf!! Our young players fought it out right to the very end and will gain so much from this experience.

I was very impressed with Josh Hunt's work when he came on, and also some work from the likes of Bartel, Ablett, Clarke and Kent Kingsley who scored 4.2 up forward and was clearly one of our best players. Also, I was very impressed with Steve Johnson in his first game... that boy looks like he belongs out there, doing some very nice things when he was on the ground. :):)

Dont get me wrong, I'm not happy with losing, but sometimes there's a much bigger picture and that is Geelong are on the rise and once our kids develop their upper body strength and gain more experience, we will have our time back near the top.

Anyway, 3-3 and in the mix is not bad at this stage, and very much looking forward to playing the hawks next week at the MCG. :):)

Go Cats!!

Just some random thoughts as I returned from the pub...

The second term was absofreakinlutely critical in the match. That's where, to me, the Lions were able to exact their authority on the game, and were able to coast from there.

Yet there were some Cats players who may have been on the field but were conspicuous by their absence, if you know what I mean. Riccardi could have done more, and Ben Graham needs to do more as the team captain, for example. Both players are the keys to their success, as the kiddie corps cannot carry this team.

However, having said that, I have to agree with SeinDude-- 3-3 is not a bad mark through the first six games of the season. It's something I would gladly take if I were to view the fixture list in the preseason, especially with staring down the barrel at games against Essendon and Brisbane in the first half-dozen contests.

Furthermore, losing to Brisbane at the Gabba is no disgrace. But if you had looked at the fixture list at the beginning of the season, what would you have assumed the margin of defeat to be? Ten goals? 15 goals? A century or more? Having said that, a 57-point defeat isn't so bad, and as long as the last term was even, that might be enough to keep the Cats in the eight.

Cheers,
William
