I don't think he'll be overly concerned. 90% of his competition will have had Riewoldt; and having Ablett in his side, I'm 99% sure he wouldn't have had him as Captain.

True, though he now has to make another decision for a player that was clearly a good call to get from the start of the season.

It's just another opportunity for him to make a wrong decision and someone to make the right one and catch up, especially since he already has the two clearest options (ROK and JB).
