Heard thet set one up at Punt Road.

They were doing running, push ups, exercises in there.

Seems they forgot one thing............ A football.

Uh oh, I'm not looking forward to nut coming online... :p

I think they left it a little bit too late. They should have been conditioned two to three weeks before the DArwin game to get there body right. In a way, I think they did way too much in one week for the Darwin game in the heat chamber.

The actual temperature would not have been the issue. It would have been the Surface and the greasy conditions.

We took the match lightly.

We didn't respect the opposition.

We let key players have interrupted preparation.

We didn't give our players enough exposure to Darwin before the game.

spot on. next time get up there early. no tv shows. by all means use the heat room but kick a footy in there too.

dissappoitning but we'll move on and hopefully be better for it.

Nutwas prob spot on, forget the bloody heat chamber, arrive an extra day early and hold a night training session under the lights to get a feel for the conditions...

Exactly what Port did.....

I honestly think we took a calculated risk and saved a nights accommodation hoping we would sneak away with the win and the 500k. At the end of the day the experience wont hurt us long term and it's probably a good thing that we made it harder for the group to perform.

The big issue I have is allowing key players to attend media commitments before a match that we were obviously going to be ill prepared for...

As I asked in a previous thread if this was rnd 24 and we needed to win to make the finals would have you been happy to see one of our best players on the Footy show 6 hours before he would have had to get up to catch a flight??

jackson was on the ABC footy show.... aswell.

We weren't serious about winning. Why? I dont know. I would have thought playing finals and giving this group as much exposure to pressure games would set us up for a crack at a flag in the years to come.
