Guys, I was lucky enough to stumble upon The Horrors while I was at the Splendour in the Grass music festival in August last year.

On first appearance they look like a run of the mill Emo band.

However, they played with a real flair. The dude playing the keyboard was brilliant.

I thought they were great live, but couldn't properly feel their music in that live environment, so I didn't pursue any recorded material. However the name was etched in my mind.

I was their to see Arctic Monkeys with the bonus of Bloc Party and the chance to discover some new bands.

I'm watching JTV the other morning and The Horrors had a clip "She is the new thing" and again the song instantly grabbed me. The clip was also brilliant.

I've done some investigating and found that they are a band from London, with a very good album - Strange House.

I'm onto my 5th listen and I'm thoughrally enjoying it.

I strongly recommend checking these guys out.

You'll need to look past the Emo appearance. The music is great.

I'm attempting to embed a youtube video of the clip I saw.

Even if you're not interested in the music, the clip is fantastic and well worth a look.

The creativity is flowing from all angles.

Let me know what you think.

Strange House is quite a good album...They're a bit quirky on first appearance but quality nonetheless. Jack The Ripper is a great song, good band to get into all round:thumbsu:
