Do you know Dean Rioli? What makes you a more reliable source than the person who posted this stuff?

Never been one to name drop and I'm not going to start now.

You're welcome to dismiss what I said, makes no difference to me, just calling it as I see it.

I also don't believe the Scott West story. You could tell in West's voice on SEN that he was shocked when asked about the trade rumour of him going to Essendon.
Robert Shaw said on SEN that Essendon had a real go at West "because of the captaincy thing" but the Dogs wanted Jason Johnson.

Shaw also said Essendon had a go at quite a few others of just about every club - just like everyone else does.

I know that, that was my point. This so called information from inside the club says that West made contact with Essendon first and it was he who wanted the trade. Which is crap.

Because it is completely contradictory to what both Scott West and Robert Shaw have said about the proposed trade.

But as I said, you're welcome to believe what you want.

And Dean Rioli hasn't had hip surgery.

Essendon football club just said today that Dean Rioli was recovering from post season Hip and Knee surgery.

Not that that I'm really looking to restart the debate, but it gave me a chuckle when I read it
:)

Yeah fair enough. I did hear more about this but didn't post it.

Last I heard (two weeks ago) he had dropped several kg's and is looking very very fit. The only real thing holding him back was a bit of hayfever.

We hear this every year about Dean. The start of 2003 is the fittest i've seen him lets hope he gets back to that level.

Sounds good. Those hamstrings of his hurt the team as much as it did Dean in '04. You could just see when he was on the field we looked better.

Not sure of his fitness base (ie endurance etc) but visually he has slimmed down a fair bit.
