I am no Richmond fan but geez Terry, nor do i see all of your games due to travel but from what i have seen, you are killing the kid.

In 2002-2004, I recall going to several of Brett's (admittedly underage games)games and he was the most brilliant young midfielder I had seen. In 7 years of recruiting I have never seen a player dominate games out of the midfield like this boy.

'Watchers' were salivating at his speed, lean physique, precise skill and mature temperament.

'Watchers' around the country clamored to see this young fella rack up quality possessions and deliver with speed and skill.

Now my plea is this...for the good of your fans, your club and football purists all over the country....move him into the midfield and let him learn his draft unfettered by being a glorified flanker.

Stop playing old and unskilled clones in the midfield and let this kid spread his wings.

The football world needs kids like Deledio.

I recall seeing Chris Judd's first game against Collingwood. It was clear that the midfield was 'his'. Judd was groomed as a midfielder and 'age' or 'experience' was never taken into account.

Terry, its time.
If you are gonna have a tough season, give your loyal fans something to love.

The kid is a champion waiting for the opportunity to be the number one man.

Other recruiters have said he didn't spend much time in the midfield growing up, that he spent most of his time playing off the wing, at CHF or HB..?

Anyway I think he isn't far from midfield. Terry has said he'll play him there in 'bursts' until it just clicks for him, in which case he'll finally become a permanent midfielder.

As a junior, he played all over the shop BUT he was BRILLIANT in the midfield.
He is destined to be there.

I just think, as a football lover, he is crying out to play king pin in the guts.
Just an opinion of someone who isnt even a Tiges fan.

Yeah i saw him play twice in TAC and he played FF/Wing. Spent some time in the centre but not much.

actually there is stuff all $$$ in it and the hours aren't good and to be honest its a second job and more of a passion than a great job. At times its boring and its very time consuming.

More often than not you watch players for 18 months only to see the club pick someone else or the kid get picked up by another club.


But i work in SA for a Vic club.

I saw him play a dozen or more times and his midfield work was ho-hum. Never dominated, never could get 'out' into space. He was much better away from the packs were he could use his pace and kicking skills. The knock on him was that despite the athletic gifts he didn't seem to have that first instinctive movement towards the ball in close.
