After this years draft, do you think people will start saying that we actually do have talented kids?

When guys like Carey say we have some 'not so good kids' does he mean Jackson, Hyde and Schulz or the kids from 2004 onwards?

The Dawks get all these rave reviews, despite the fact that only Birchall is playing seniors from the 6 choices in the 2005 draft. Muston, Dowler, Ellis and Tuck etc. have not shown much at all.

thats what annoys the crap out of me the most. Collectively us richmond supporters know most of our senior players are spuds, all we have to keep us going is a fairly large number of 1st, 2nd & 3rd year kids who have been showing us more heart and talent combined than our seniors! and then to have peanuts like Carey, Lyon etc come out with cheap shots questioning young raw kids, well it gets me seeing red.

There is absolutely no justification whatsoever for this type of treatment, Richmond and Carlton both have shown how hard it is for kids to win games when surrounded by a dud senior group. Take it a step further though and Carlton kids get more accolades than our own even though they've been crap longer and arguably had a better senior core around them the past few years, not to mention that for the majority of the year we've played more of them!

IMO getting a spray from the likes of Lyon shows mw we are on the correct path.

Same with carey. Great footballer but listening to him talk about football i dont actually think he understands anything from an analytical or club perspective.

Richmond has been an easy target for years. Just look at the way people go on about griffen compared to deledio. Or the fact that murphy has had an okay year, but the blow torch hasnt been applied to him like deledio in his 2nd year. When murph had a 6 possie game where was the article on him???

Tambling gets absolutely ripped to shreds by the media and so many people believe them. His year hasnt been brilliant but he has played more good games then bad. Farren Ray doesnt get anywhere near the scrutiny. I wish people would look at brennan when they have cracks at tambling. Both NT boys whose development is behind those of the big footy states. Brennan is really starting to show his quality 5 years in.

Our club has problems but it has very little to do with the kids drafted in the last 3 seasons. I doubt their is another team that has played as many kids from the last 3 drafts. Look to guys who are our core players between 23-27, wait we dont have any thanks Danny . And the then look at the experience on top of that and you will see that our kids are doing the best that is possible.

We have really suffered from the decisions made at the end of 2001 when we thought we were on the verge of something. The point regarding the 23-27 year olds hits the nail on the head. Have a look at premiership teams and that is the age bracket that delivers, we are on track to have a core group progress together but the club must not leave a stone unturned in regards to coaching and conditioning these players.

Was at the game at the weekend and was very impressed with shane edwards and daniel connors... Edwards in particular. You guys can definately build something over the next five year with the likes of Hughes, McGuane and Reiwoldt to come on. Never appreaciated how much of a champion Richo is for your club, until the weekend (he's get's the boos for no reason - although this could be seen as a sign of respect, champion in my book) there'll be a big void when he retires.

at the end of the day we are going to have a bunch of experienced 21-22 year olds compared to most clubs
