The last game of Razor Ray's career

Empires were terrible today and ray is the worst of the whole umpiring fraternity. The start of the game was excellent and nobody noticed the empires and ray decided that its time he got noticed and pulled a couple of stupid decisions that I can only assume were together the umpires to talk about him. And didnt bt provide in the last quarter. I.almost chocked when he said that ray doesn't like the attention

A truly sad day for the AFL. Congratulations Ray, you've finished your career exactly the way you started.

Not so fun when the shoes on the other foot is it? ;) lol

But seriously his umpiring today has been a joke. Gifted Fremantle goals at a critical stage.

hahah

Sydney have got an armchair ride for years

Watching the umps get freo over the line was humourous

Look at all the pathetic Swanettes complaining about the umpires...

Oh god, this is priceless.

How could I forget the gross exaggerations and justifications on why Hardingham had a clear handball deemed a 'throw' in the Round 2 game in Sydney which single handedly gifted the Swans a 5 point win over Essendon? And then having to hear at the end of the game what an amazingly umpired game it was... And then it happens to them, at an even more crucial stage of the season...

Just. Priceless. What goes around, comes around...

Blatant throw. This ain't rugby. Swans still have 4 undeserved points thanks to umpires. Only way this will be restored is if the umpires rob them against us in Round 20. Well done Freo.

This problem should reach further than club alleigances. For a second, forget what team you support, and what's happened earlier in the season, and just look at what happened in this game, as well as in almost every game this season. Something has to be done.
Exactly right.

Tell that to certain supporters here.

They are more than happy to see, and justify, blatantly sub-standard umpiring based on perceived poor decisions against them earlier in the year.

Either you deride poor umpiring or you don't.

Exactly, bombers supporters in this thread have been a disgrace, essentially saying that rubbish umpiring is ok as long as its spread around the AFL

All things considered, Swans fans have no right to complain about umpiring. Yes, some calls didn't go their way, but they have been getting it easy for a long time now.

Also, about time Freo got some ****ing luck go their way.

We played better for most of the game and put enough on the board when it was needed to put a comeback (almost) out of Sydney's reach.
Fyfe had a cracker and I have absolutely NO problems about getting to sleep tonight with that win under our belts.
Seriously, blaming the umpiring is ridiculous. We were the better team today.

What? Like the 4 points you guys were gifted following the McPhee non-out-of-bounds call a few years back?

What has this got to do with my post?

After the umps gifted them the points in our encounter this season all we heard from Sydney supporters is that umpires should never, ever be blamed for a loss. Apparently umpiring decisions are not match defining and the best team always wins on the day.

The fact that the winning goal against us was from a wrong call, had no bearing on the result. The fact that the umpire refused to give Stanton a free kick directly in front with 20 seconds to go, had no bearing on the result.

If any of them blame the umpires for todays loss it just shows that they are a bunch of hypocrites.

The 50 shouldn't have been paid. De Boer was in the middle of a group of players, Tadhg was getting close to make sure he could give it straight to him, because if he didn't it would have been a 50 anyway. Common sense should have prevailed.

The throw was there, but it was there 100 other times and was never paid. Rubbish to pull it out there.

And yes, the Swans got lucky against the Dons earlier. So? The Swans know exactly what it's like to be done by the umps, it is a bizarre myth that they get favoured.

If I see Razor ****ing Ray in the street I'm going to have a tough battle to avoid stomping on his face.

Remember the WC V Sydney qualifying final from 05?

The one time we get the rub of the green with umpires (especially Razor) and everyone comes out up in ****ing arms. Have a sook! Great win by our boys, there were some squaring frees to the Swans in the last at least.

Wow, Essendon supporter's true colours coming out in this thread. The umpiring was disgraceful, and something needs to be done. Grow up you knobs. Ftr, the umps kept u in the game in rd 2, a point missed on most of you idiots.

I'd usually agree with you, but the way Sydney fans rubbed it in after the disgusting display of umpiring that favoured them against us makes it impossible in this case.
