I went to see it last night.

Thought it started off a bit slow - John Waters didn't seem to carry it off that well, Doug Parkinson and Jack Jones were ok with Jon Stevens the standout singer throughout - had not seen him live before, what a voice! His first song, Oh Darling was great, very powerful delivery and tight.
In the second half, Jack did 'Blackbird' as a tribute to a friend who had just died and stopped midway through. I thought he had just stuffed up but it was pointed out to me he seemed quite emotional and choked up a bit. He followed up with the highlight of the show - a blinding rendition of 'I Want You / She's So Heavy'. One of the most inspired guitar freakouts I've seen in a long time - maybe the best! I hope they recorded that!
Doug Parkinson got a well deserved standing ovation for 'Dear Prudence'. John Waters' 'All You Need Is Love' was very moving just for the beauty of the lyrics.
Don't know who the backing musos were but they did a fine job apart from the guy who stuffed the brass bit at the end of Penny Lane.
