Thailand and Vietnam average 5-6 goals per game against Indonesia, so double figures should be on the agenda for the Matildas.

2-0 after 10 minutes, both to Kerr. The Matilda's are a chance to score more than the Poms in the recent Ashes.:)

When Carpenter gets her name on the score sheet you know it's been an easy win. Nice finish though.
Carpenter has one hell of a boot on her, I'd like to see her take a few more shots if she is going to connect like that.

Judging the performances mostly on players who keep possession and can create against weak opposition.

Fowler, Van Egmond, Kerr and Carpenter look the best. Foord is a bit hit a miss - still ends up running into dead ends after a promising move to take a 1st defender on, and Raso too many times ends up giving it away - but the goal scoring header in the box was courageous.

Clanger from Kennedy gave Indonesia a chance. Polkinghorne, Wheeler and Catley competent.

Interesting to see Kennedy become a centre forward in the last few minutes of the first half. Perhaps a sign of things to come when the Matildas start playing decent opponents.

9-0 up, and Gustavsson brings on the same old players rather than give games to McNamara, Siemsen and Vine. A bit disappointing.

18-0. I normally find high scoring games quite exciting, but that game was flat.

Geez how's the respect for Kerr there, the Indonesians just stoked to be playing her and getting photos. That has to be a first for us in the football world

Yeoman-Dale is quite critical of the coach for not playing the younger players. Good on her, I totally agree, he had the opportunity to give those young girls some international experience and he didn't.

Gielnik was warming up, so it was good that Gustavsson chose McNamara as the last sub. I thought Holly did ok with her attack and possession but couldn't cash in as a fresh player late in the game. They're calling her a stand out player in the A-League season - and its fair enough because she looks like she's got something, but she's only started this season at that level with a handful of games and really the standard of the teams in the A-League at the moment isn't much stronger than this Indonesian team.

Players like Wheeler and Nevin are the young players that the team is transitioning towards while adding and building depth. Wheeler looks up to it in the few games she's played.

Interesting to see which players they rested. Polkinghorne and Catley only had to play a half which will benefit the team later in the tournament. Fowler and Foord the other 2 that are likely starters.

Fowler looks so classy and is a key part of the team now but only made her tournament debut at the Olympics.

Van Egmond, Carpenter and Catley are the players that would have the biggest tanks and be capable of going through a tournament with the least breaks.

Raso played a full game so maybe Courtnee Vine can get a look in that role - though probably more likely Gielnik starts and Vine comes on as a sub.
