Mick Malthouse analyses what’s going wrong for Port Adelaide in 2015.
Mick Malthouse has told Rowey and Bicks on FIVEaa that Port Adelaide are missing Kane Cornes.

“Not because of Cornes’ form this year,” he said, “but certainly Cornes’ form of last year.”

Mick also called into question the performance of the Power’s second forward.

“Against the sides who have got decent tall backs, then I just find that they’re just not getting enough out of their second tall on the forward line.

“The mistakes made from the backline into the corridor are far more exposed than what they were last year, and perhaps that’s the opposition putting more pressure on.”

Mick said Port were playing “nowhere near” the football they were playing last year.

“They could still get that, but it’s going to be a heck of a ride home,” he said.

There's absolutely no truth to it. Missing targets, failing to be brave and take the game on, the lack in speed of ball movement has nothing to do with Kane's absence. Polec on the other hand.....

I agree, though Kane was always a great safety valve, that's how he racked up so many possessions, when there was no other option he'd always be there 15 away to take the pressure off.
