I think the club is finally realising just how much their fans have gone through, how much patience they have had, and, although the fans are not turning on the club (far from it) are now at least demanding a higher level of performance and commitment than over the last few seasons.
Great to see that the club is at least acknowledging how the fans are feeling - it is difficult as a supporter to have to turn around and express how pissed off we are - would very much rather simply keep the happy, optimistic, blinkers on each week - but obviously as supporters we need to express our disappointment.
I think we can all accept the results so long as we know that the players can hear AND CARE what the fans are saying, and that they are providing a 100% commitment.
Houlihan, Ratten, Swan and even Pratt have all acknowledged the supporters feelings and that is important. We area starting to show the signs of a really switched on, professional, responsible (corporate) outfit. It has been hard to watch the slow start to the year - and I think we as fans HAD to finally break our unconditional support and express the reality of where we are at.
The club has responded to the fans - lets see if the players can do the same - really want to see a gut bursting, hard fought, never say die game from the players this week. If I see that and we lose, I will be very happy.
